OPENING HYMN:

TABLE OF PLENTY by Dan Schutte

Come to the feast of heaven and earth!
Come to the table of plenty!
God will provide for all that we need,
here at the table of plenty.

O come and sit at my table

where saints and sinners are friends.
I wait to welcome the lost and lonely
to share the cup of my love.

O come and eat without money;

come to drink without price.
My feast of gladness will feed your spirit
with faith and fullness of life.

My bread will ever sustain you

through days of sorrow and woe.
My wine will flow like a sea of gladness
to flood the depths of your soul.

Your fields will flower in fullness;

your homes will flourish in peace.
For I, the giver of home and harvest,
will send my rain on the soil.

Wreath.

PRIEST: My brothers and sisters, today we begin the

homes. The candles of this wreath remind us that
Jesus Christ came to conquer the darkness of sin
and to lead us into the light of his glorious kingdom.

PRAYER OF BLESSING
Priest: Our help is in the name of the Lord.
Response: Who made heaven and earth.
Lord our God, we praise you for your Son, Jesus
Christ: he is Emmanuel, the hope of the peoples, he
is the wisdom that teaches and guides us, he is the
Savior of every nation.
Lord God, let your blessing come upon us as we light
the candles of this wreath. May the wreath and its
light be a sign of Christ's promise to bring us
salvation. May he come quickly and not delay.

Commentator: This week we light the purple candle

of the advent wreath which means hope, reminding
us that Jesus is coming. Remember that the purple
candles stand for sorrow for we have not loved
enough the people who are in need. We hope to
make Jesus to be a part of our lives, not just at
Christmas but all year long. We can prepare
ourselves for Jesus through prayer and turning
ourselves to love, hope, faith, justice and kindness.
Rejoice in the Lord always. The Lord is near. Come
let us worship him.

LITURGY OF THE WORD

First Reading Corinthians 11:23-26

10
11

A reading from the first letter of St Paul to the

Corinthians
This is what I received from the Lord, and in turn
passed on to you:
that on the same night that he was betrayed,
the Lord Jesus took some bread, and thanked God
for it and broke it,
and he said, ‘This is my body, which is for you; do
this as a memorial of me.’ In the same way he took
the cup after supper, and said,
‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood.
Whenever you drink it, do this as a memorial of me.’
Until the Lord comes, therefore,
every time you eat this bread and drink this cup,
you are proclaiming his death.
The word of the Lord.

All: Thanks be to God.

Ang Panginoon ang aking pastol

Pinagiginhawa akong lubos.

Handog niyang himlaya’y sariwang pastulan

Ang pahingaan ko’y payapang batisan,
Hatid sa kalul’wa ay kaginhawahan,
Sa tumpak na landas, Siya ang patnubay.

Tugon:
Ang Panginoon ang aking pastol
Pinagiginhawa akong lubos.

Nais kong manahan magpakailanman.

Alleluia JOHN 6:51

Commentator:

13
14

I am the living bread that came down from

heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever.
This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the
life of the world."

Gospel JOHN 6:51-57

Priest: The Lord be with you.
All: And with your spirit.

14
15

Priest: A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John.

All: Glory to you, O Lord.

Jesus said:
‘I am the living bread which has come down from
heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live for
ever; and the bread that I shall give is my flesh,
for the life of the world.’
Then the Jews started arguing with one another:
‘How can this man give us his flesh to eat? They
said. Jesus replied:
‘I tell you most solemnly,
if you do not eat the flesh of the Son of Man
and drink his blood,
you will not have life in you.
Anyone who does eat my flesh and drink my
blood
has eternal life,
and I shall raise them up on the last day.
For my flesh is real food
and my blood is real drink.

15
16

Those who eats my flesh and drinks my blood

lives in me
and I live in them.
As I, who am sent by the living Father,
myself draw life from the Father,
so whoever eats me will draw life from me.’

 The Gospel of the Lord.

All — Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

Commentator: Please all be seated for the homily.

body out of all who partake of the one bread,

OFFERTORY SONG: CHRISTIFY

22
23

Christify the gifts we bring to You,

bounty of the earth receive anew.
Take and bless the work of our hands.
Christify these gifts at Your command.

Sun and moon and earth and wind and rain:

all the world's contained in every grain.
All the toil and dreams of humankind,
all we are we bring as bread and wine.

Turn the bread and wine, our hearts implore,

to the living presence of the Lord.
Blessed and broken, shared with all in need;
all our hungers, sacred bread will feed.

With this bread and wine You Christify,

now our deepest thirst You satisfy.
We who by this bread You sanctify
draw the world for You to Christify.

The Liturgy of the Eucharist

23
24

The priest, standing at the altar, takes the paten with the bread and holds
it slightly raised above the altar with both hands, saying in a low voice:

PRIEST: Blessed are you Lord, God of all creation, for

through your goodness we have receive the
bread we offer you: fruit of the earth and work
of human hands, it will become for us the
bread of life.
Then he places the paten with the bread on the corporal.

Blessed be God forever.

The priest pours wine and a little water into the chalice, saying quietly:

By the mystery of this water and wine may we come

to share in the divinity of Christ who humbled
himself to share in our humanity.
The priest then takes the chalice and holds it slightly raised above the
altar with both hands, saying in a low voice:

Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for through

your goodness we have received the wine we offer
you: fruit of the vine and work of human hands it will
become our spiritual drink.
Then he places the chalice on the corporal.

Blessed be God forever.

Then the priest, standing at the side of the altar, washes his hands,
saying quietly:

Wash me, O Lord, from my iniquity and cleanse me

from my sin.
Standing at the middle of the altar, facing the people, extending and then
joining his hands, he says:

Commentator: Please rise.

EUCHARISTIC PRAYER II

27
28

You are indeed Holy, O Lord, the fount of all

holiness.
Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray,
by sending down your Spirit upon them like the
dewfall,
so that they may become for us
the Body  and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

At the time he was betrayed and entered

willingly into his Passion,
he took bread and, giving thanks, broke it,
and gave it to his disciples, saying:

TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND EAT OF IT:

FOR THIS IS MY BODY WHICH WILL BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU.

In a similar way, when supper was ended,

28
29

he took the chalice and, once more giving

thanks,
he gave it to his disciples, saying:

TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND DRINK FROM IT:

THIS IS THE CHALICE OF MY BLOOD, THE BLOOD OF THE
NEW AND ETERNAL COVENANT WHICH WILL BE POURED
OUT FOR YOU AND FOR MANY FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF
SINS. DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME.

The mystery of faith.

The people sing:

We remember how you loved us to your death,

and still we celebrate, for you are with us here;
And we believe that we will see you when you
come, in your glory, Lord, we remember,
we celebrate, we believe.

Then the celebrant, with hands extended, says:

29
30

Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his

Death and Resurrection, we offer you, Lord, the
Bread of life and the Chalice of salvation,
giving thanks that you have held us worthy
to be in your presence and minister to you.
Humbly we pray that, partaking of the Body and
Blood of Christ,
we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.

Remember, Lord, your Church, spread

throughout the world,
and bring her to the fullness of charity,
together with FRANCIS our Pope and Pablo
Virgilio our Bishop,
and all the clergy.

Remember also our brothers and sisters

30
31

who have fallen asleep in the hope of the

resurrection,
and all who have died in your mercy: (pause)
welcome them into the light of your face.
Have mercy on us all, we pray,
that with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of
God,
with the blessed Apostles, and all the Saints
who have pleased you throughout the ages,
we may merit to be coheirs to eternal life,
and may praise and glorify you through your Son,
Jesus Christ.

The Celebrant takes the chalice and the paten with the host and,
raising both, he sings:

Through him, and with him, and in him, O God,

almighty Father,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory and
honor is yours, for ever and ever.
All: Amen!
