e-TRAUMA Guideliness of operational standard

procedures in Complex Life Threatening Skeletal
Injuries

What about e-TRAUMA

project development ?

During the last 6 months the e-

TRAUMA partnership made
important steps in order to develop
common references for VET in
orthopedics.

The main outcome of this period is

the e-TRAUMA Guidelines that function
as an online information resource
providing up-to-date treatment guidelines
to orthopaedic profesionals for the
management of life threatening skeletal
injuries. The guide is based on existent
procedures and on intensive research on
EU recomendations. It includes 15
procedures and an up to date
bibliographic e- resource.

Why our guide?

In general, the progress programs are

based on existing professional
directional lines on the concrete area.
However, there is only limited guidance
in the management of complex trauma.

In this context our INNOVATION

consists in development of a guide
based on EU common strategy to
DECREASE the morbidity and mortality
due to this pathology, to assure open
acces to this guide for all medical
professionals by on line approaches.
Also the guide is linked with with
correspondent videos (O2) so the
trainee can follow theoretical aspects
from the guide and practical aspects in
the videos in the same time.

Just imagine you are a resident

trying to learn a surgical procedure.
You participate to real surgery and
coming back home you try to
remember certain phases. You go
and read a guide and try to imagine
what part is correspondent with
that phase. By having our guide
you can read the procedural step
and go directly to the same phase
from the video. The e-bibliographic
resource will provide links to other
guideliness and videos all over
Europe.

The guide will be available in

English, Romanian, German and
Turkish language.

Where can I find this guide?

The e-TRAUMA guidelines is available

on our project web-site, section results.
The videos are available on e-TRAUMA
e-learning platform and can be
consulted only after registration for our
News course.
