Introduction

The offer involves Replacement of the automation part of the Existing PLC (Messung Nexegen 500),
HMI and Filed instruments with AB PLC, HMI including Push button panel of the existing 1750 kg
capacity batch centrifugal machines at your site in Fincha sugar factory, Ethiopia.

Based on your request our offer is a complete replacement of your PLC and HMI with widely known
brand and latest version of AB PLC MicroLogix 64 I/O, 1AI and AB Make 7" HMI Station including
field instruments and control panel for each of the eight machines.

The associated logical and sequential program is prepared based on your existing operation principle and
our program and field expert engineers with our local experienced engineers and technicians will be
available in your site for installation, testing and commissioning as well as conducting training for your
operational and technical professionals.

Scope of the Work:

The scope of the work will be the following as per the client request

 Providing and supply complete new suitable automation including software and hardware AB
brand PLC & HMI, field sensors and solenoid valves with standard enclosure (IP55/NEMA12) in
control room as well as in the field.
 Providing suitable sequential and logical programs as per existing principle of operation.
 Installation of hardware, wiring, interfacing the PLC and HMI with all accessories for each
machines.
 Downloading the program provided to the installed PLC and HMI at the site with program
experts, and conducting of testing and commissioning to confirm if the machine is running as per
needed principle of operation.
 Handover adequate spares parts of PLC, HMI and Filed instruments as per listed in the technical
data sheet.
 Handover of final program backups and genuine software CD.

Work Plan and Site Organization


Our head office is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This location provides us the ideal location to
be near Ethiopia, and it proves to be an ideal location for this project as Dubai is the hub of business.
We have an authorized representative in Ethiopia which is Jehoiachin Techno Plc. Jehoiachin Techno Plc
is an engineering firm well established in Ethiopia with more than 10 years in the industry.

Benades Phoenix is collaborating with a system integrator Power automation and controls during the
installation and commissioning of the system and that Jehoiachin Techno will provide local man power
required.
Together with Jehoiachin Techno Plc, as our local representative in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, we shall
expedite our responsibilities by having the necessary local support and technical expertise.

We plan to accomplish the supply, installation and test & commissioning in the following order and

Manpower Utilization

The following manpower are used for complete installation, testing and commissioning of the Batch
centrifugal machines’ automation part.

 One Project manager: For overall control of the progress of supplying, installation,
Testing and commissioning.

 One PLC programming expert: for programming, configuration during testing and
commissioning.
 One Field instrument engineer: for installation supervision of Field and control room
instruments.

 One Electrical engineer: for guiding and supervision of electrical connections to VFD
and control panel.

 Two senior electrical and instrument technicians: for installation of Field and control
room instruments

Training & Technology Transfer

Training is essential to the staff of Fincha sugar factory Operation and technical teams to make them to be
skilled and efficient users of the supplied and installed Automation system.

The trainings will be on the operation, maintenance and testing of the supplied automation system.

The training will be conducted at the site, as on job training, during the installation and test &
commissioning phase of the project.

 Adequate Training to the technical expertise of the plant and engineers will be imparted related to
PLC Program
 Factory to ensure provision of dedicated Laptop of suitable configuration for the purpose.
 We will involve one site technical person during retrofitting work so that they get hands-on
training which will help the factory for maintenance
Warranty

1. PLC, HMI and other Products are warranted for a period of One Year from the date of our
purchase as per the terms of OEM condition of standard usage
2. Any defect in the product will be repaired free of cost for one year.
3. To claim free service, the defective product need to be shipped to India with proper packing and
documents.
4. The courier charges and related custom documentation charges to be borne by factory.
5. Our Responsibility ceases on Signing of Minutes of Meeting and any future requirement of our
services at your site will be on chargeable basis along with incidental charges based on new offer
will be provided at that time.

 Price validity: 120 days
 Kindly note the VFD and Motor had to kept in healthy condition and ensure the working of VFD
is in order at the time of starting of the work.
