Neem are grown in the front lawn as they
provide shade. greenery and cooler
3. Shrubs of varying heights are planted in the
transition area between the two levels of

the complex. This creates a gradual
transition zone.
4. Hedges are grown along the periphery of
the paths, defining the routes more
properly.
5. Flowering trees with a nice aroma are
planted near the seating areas refreshing 5
the environment.

Critical Analysis
1. Lower west court remains a dead area
due to lack of landscaping elements,
shading elements and proper access.
2. Insufficient number of benches.
3. Upper lawns remain uninhabited due to
lack of seating.
4 1
4. The continuity of table
on the floor acts as
obstruction.

2 3
Appraisal 1. Lower west court if landscaped
well would turn out into a private
area, also the drainage should be
improved as during rains this
area turns into a pond.
2. No. of benches should be
improved at both the levels
specially at the upper level.

3. The upper lawn could be semi

covered with a pergola.
4. The organic pathway should
be connected to the back of
the M F Hussain Art Gallery
as it is an important access
(shown in the site plan).
