DroneTech is a ‘Strong-Matrix Type Organization’ because the organization has a dedicated Project Manager to manage the project.
1. The project manager has a full-time role (highlighted in yellow in the matrix) and reports directly to the CEO of DroneTech.
2. The project manager is independent and will identify what modifications to the drone flight operations will be necessary and then
determine team members. He also coordinates with other project managers (Security, Change Management Team, Business
Operations) of Wilmont’s pharmacy to achieve the respective tasks.
3. The project manager has to look over the developing the contract between Wilmont’s and DroneTech.
4. The project is highly significant for DroneTech which serves as a norm for Strong-Matrix Type Organizations.
5. Cost of the project is high.
6. The project is unique.
7. The project manager will make his own estimate according to his project and report it to the CEO. The CEO asked to keep it under
$750,000.
