32 mm 1
38 mm 3
51 mm 4
76mm 6
102 mm 8

- Size of Drainage Piping

The minimum size of Vertical or Horizontal drainage pipings
will base on the TOTAL FIXTURES UNITS connected thereto.
* for continuous flow,
2 F.U. shall allowed for 0.063 L/s of flow
0.063 L/s = 1 Gal/m
SECTION 704 FIXTURE CONNECTIONS (EXCRETA DRAINAGE)
- Two fixtures set side by side or back to back with in the distance allowed
by a trap and its vent, may be served by a SINGLE VERTICAL DRAINAGE PIPE

SECTION 705 CHANGES IN THE DIRECTION OF FLOW

EXCRETA DRAINAGE FLOW
- Change of Direction for Drainage
a. 1/16 bend or 22.5 degrees
b. 1/8 bend or 45 degrees
c. 1/6 bend or 60 degrees

- Horizontal to Vertical Change of Direction

a. 45 or 60 degrees Wye branch
b. Double Sanitary Tee - may be used when the barrel of the fitting
is atleast 2 pipe size larger than largest inlet

- Horizontal Drainage Lines

connecting to horizontal drainage line shall connect to a
45 degrees wye branch, combination wye and 1/8 bend

- Vertical Drainage Lines

connecting with horizontal lines shall enter through a
45 or 60 degrees branch, or offsets may be used only when installed
in a True Vertical Position

SECTION 706 CLEAN OUTS

- Provision of Horizontal Drainage pipe shall be provided with a Clean out
at its upper material
*15 meter length - Maximum distance

Pipe Size C.O. Size Threads per 25.4 mm
38 mm 38 11.5
51 mm 38 11.5
64 mm 64 8
76 mm 64 8
102 mm or
89 8
larger

Exceptions
a. CO may be ommitted when Horizontal drain line is less than
1.5 meters unless serving a Sink or a Urinal
b. CO may be ommitted on a short horizontal drainage pipe installed
at a slope of 72 degrees or less from the vertical line (1/5 bend)
c. An approved two way CO fitting can be installed bet.the Building sewer
or Building drain
d. Additional CO provision exceeding a 135 degree offset angle of direction
e. Each CO shall be installed that it opens on the direction of flow
or at a right angles there to
f. Each CO extension shall be considered as drainage and 90 degrees
CO extension shall be extended from a wye branch
g. CO shall be outside of the interceptor
h. CO installed with cover plate shall be above Grade
i. CO installed on 51 mm piping or less shall have a clearance of 305 mm
in front of CO
*Piping Clearance
51 mm or less 305 mm
larger than 51 mm 450 mm
underground piping 450 mm vertical
750 mm horizontal (wall)

shall be accessible

SECTION 707 GRADE OR HORIZONTAL EXCRETA DRAINAGE PIPING

- Standard Slope of drain pipes
20 mm/m or 2%
Note
If it is impractical due to the depth or length of pipe to obtain
20mm/m or 2%
102 mm pipe diameter or larger can have a slope of not less than
10 mm/m or 1%
