A.1 Safety information

WARNING! Dangerous contact voltages!
The amplifiers of the MIU 10 Series must be installed only by qualified and specially
trained personnel authorized by the operating company. When installing the device,
be sure to observe the applicable regulations, e.g. EC directives, national codes and
regulations, standards. Do not connect the device to power supply before it is
professionally installed. Do not change the measurement range during operation,
shutdown, or disposal!
For applications with high working voltages, you should ensure there is sufficient
spacing or isolation from neighboring devices and protection against electrical
shocks.
Be sure to observe the national codes and regulations during installation and
selection of cables and lines.
A two-pole circuit breaker must be installed between device and mains supply.
Be sure to take measures against electrostatic discharge (ESD) when installing or
adjusting the amplifier.

A.2 Return of products

Never try to open the device!
For any return of merchandise to Sécheron, please refer to our website “www.secheron.com”
and click on “Services / RMA”.

A.3 MIU 10

The housing width is 22.5 mm.

The devices isolate and transmit input voltages in the range of
± 60 mV ... ± 5 V.
The individual measurement ranges are calibrated.
The broad-range power supply operates from 24 to 230 V AC/DC.
The working voltage for basic insulation (overvoltage category III,
pollution degree 2) is 2.2 kV / 10 kV dielectric isolation.
The 16 measurement ranges are selected using an insulated
rotary coding switch or by reconnecting the output lines.
Preselection is done at factory, according to the substration
specifications. For specific setting, please see § A.4.

CAUTION!
Do not change the measurement range during operation!
The rotary switch for range selection is located under the plastic cap with the
terminal plate.

For range selection, pull cap off towards the front. Select range by turning the rotary switch using
a screwdriver. Replace cap and let it engage in the housing in the correct direction.
