PROPERTIES:
Chromium alloyed cast iron with high abrasion resistance.
To ensure the highest possible impact resistance a heat treatment must be carried out.
The recommandations given in V 2821-xx may be used as guidance.
The structure has to be with Fe-Cr-carbides in a martensitic matrix.
The composition is well inside the limits stated in the alternative standards referred to.

When taking in new suppliers a sample sized 100x100x80 mm must be shipped to the RDL-Metallurgy
department for approval before a purchage order can be placed. The sample must be followed by
documentation stating chemical composition, hardness and heat treatment.
