Training Details:
Our teacher trainings are masterfully crafted,
world-class programs down to every detail.
They are rooted in traditional Hatha yoga, and
very much in support of the original intention
of yoga. That means they are completely non-
competitive, non-dogmatic, and explore yoga
beyond just the postures.

What you’ll learn:

• Asanas & Alignment – learn the safe and
intelligent way to perform the yoga poses
• Sequencing – how to design dynamic,
effective sequences for all levels
• The History and Philosophy of Yoga
• Working with different kinds of bodies and
students
• Working with injuries and limitations
• Hands-on adjustments
• Practice teaching
• Anatomy & energetic anatomy
• Pranayama – breathing techniques
• The yogic diet for the modern world
• Business of Yoga – a free, 4 hour video
module with Paul Teodo on building a career.

Week 1:
Foundation & Postures

Week 1 is all about getting grounded in a solid foundation. Learning yoga is like constructing a house, where
electricity can flow throughout. Without a strong foundation and structure, the energy or electricity cannot
flow through the house properly. Students will focus on relaxing and grounding the body, getting into the
details of the postures, and understanding the basics.

Week 2:
Foundation & Postures
Now that a strong foundation is established, students can begin learning how to sequence classes. Week 2 is all
about teaching strategies, sequencing, and holding space. This week will empower students to develop a
stronger personal practice, and a deep understanding of the physical and energetic body to design effective
courses for students.

Week 3:

what was learning into everyday life. It will focus on practical application of the yoga materials to work life,
relationships, and all aspects of living in the modern world. Week 3 is also about giving students real teaching
practice and building confidence as a teacher.

ABOUT THE CLASSES:

Morning Asana:

Morning asana practice is a mix of instruction and practice.

Our morning classes usually involve students waking up their
bodies to start the day energized, and then moving into more
instruction. As the course develops and students gain a more
solid understanding of the postures, the morning courses
move into more of a flow sequence.

Philosophy Courses:

Our yoga philosophy courses are always taught by masters

from India. They explore the true depth of the topics and draw
on discussions from ancient texts like Patanjali’s yoga sutras,
Bhagavad Gita, and others, making them applicable to
modern life. Topics of discussion include the yogic disciplines,
the yogic view of life, and philosophy of meditation.
Meditation:

Meditation for the modern practitioner must go beyond

simply sitting and watching the breath. We teach our
students a variety of dynamic and moving meditations that
prepare and loosen the body for silent sitting. Students will
learn both the philosophy and practical application of a
variety of meditation techniques.

Anatomy & Physiology:

Our anatomy classes go far beyond just simply naming the

elements of the body. Each system: muscular, skeletal,
digestive, endocrine, lymph, is covered with a functional
understanding and coordinating yoga practices that help to
heal and bring balance to each system. Students are actively
engaged to discover their own anatomy from an experiential
standpoint.

Posture Lab:

Students will be taken deeper into the postures with more

detail on each. Posture labs starts with the feet and works all
the way up the body to give students proper alignment,
starting with their own body first. Posture lab is extremely
interactive and uses the live bodies in the class as the
examples.

Teaching Practice & Revisions:

In this class, students will begin getting hands-on experience

teaching. This class is formatted going through each pose
individually, allowing students to make adjustments on one
another under the guidance of our master teachers and
assistants. This course will also cover important topics on
what makes a good yoga teachers, including: how to hold
space, how to sequence classes, small details of teaching, and
the business of yoga.
