 LET’S GROW UP WITH “ENGLISH LANGUAGE”
Who does not know English? maybe in other parts of the world from hundreds of
countries, thousands of provinces, millions of home villages, certainly many are already
familiar with English.

Regardless of whether or not they can pronounce it, but at least they certainly
know or even are familiar with words that come from English. Because it turns out that
many of the country's languages are absorbed from English. As an example of the word
"book" in Indonesian it turns out that the absorption of the word "book" in English.

English itself is now known as an international language, where in the world

many people who come from other countries then visit one of the countries to travel for
example they use English to communicate. And this is not uncommon. English has
become an international language because English is considered the oldest language in
the world dating from the 8th century, and has a very rapid vocabulary. Then what is the
relationship between English and education? how important is Indonesian students
learning English ?

1. The relationship between English and education in Indonesia.

Indonesia is a developing country, many places in Indonesia are not found in any
country, this is the reason many tourists come to Indonesia to see the natural beauty of
Indonesia. There is an important thing contained in the relationship between English
and Indonesian education. Is "communication" of course to be able to communicate with
tourists from other countries, of course we need a language that is also understood by
tourists. And the answer from that language is English. In addition to communicating
English, we can also use it as a means to understand other sciences. One example is
technology. And this technology can not be far from language. Examples of more
specifications, computer technology in making a software role, and the language used is
computer language which, if we examine closely, is closely related to English. So to
make Indonesia progress in terms of English language education is one of the learning
that is considered important as a container of all knowledge.
2. How important is learning to speak English in Indonesia.

We are now in millennial times or 4.0. an era where everything that is difficult will
be facilitated by technology. But from this we cannot rule out that technology is very
closely related to English or international languages. To advance life whether in terms of
indivisual or in terms of organization of course language communication is needed. And
this is the most important reason for Indonesian students to learn English. Starting from
the smallest to the biggest. Not just for technology, languages also need to understand
information about the world that is obtained from other parts of the country which will
usually be conveyed through English. Because one day when we go wherever this
language will often be used.

3. Do we need a special school in English?

In this 4.0 era technology provides free advice to do learning in any science
including English language science. The need for special school English or not is
crucial, where we can find the answers in a different perspective. One thing that is
certain is "learning languages is the thing that needs to be done".

4. Is there a relationship between technology and language.

Technology is one of the branches of core science. And language is the core
science. All knowledge was discovered one of them because of the development of
language. This year, to be exact, the 2020 era is no longer the millennial era but has
moved to the 4.0 era where everything is focused on technology. In everyday life
technology is needed. One derivative of technology that is now being inflamed is the
use of the internet. Where the internet becomes a container of all information. Starting
from local information to international information. Now the internet is the second
window after books. Because after all we can not rule out or even forget the function of
the book as a window to the world. . Besides being a window to the world after books,
now the internet has become a place to express oneself and hobbies by using social
media which can connect many distant networks to feel close. The way the internet
works is so fine it is almost invisible with real visualization. Even now the development
of the internet is so fast. Many study rooms on the internet make it easy for us to study
without having to go somewhere as a digital learning tool. Only with access to be able to
connect to the internet. Many people who develop the internet by creating new
containers on the internet such as the example of making learning applications that are
certainly accessible to all internet users.

5. The function features.

The function of features on the Internet in learning to speak English From the
previous paragraph we can conclude that with the internet is so helpful in the learning
process. Here are the functions of the internet in language learning in specifications :

a. Features a web-based translation application as a Language translator.

On the internet there are now many new web applications, which means
they can be accessed with an internet connection or what we refer to as (wifi). At
the beginning of the internet, one of the features created by the internet company
"Google" is "Google Translate" which functions to translate languages from
various countries. The simple way is to simply visit the google translate address
and then wait for the translation column to be used and then set the country
language that we are translating and the country address of the translation
language. Like the example "from Indonesian to English". But over time it turns
out that google translate has the disadvantage of using grammatical language
that is not perfect, but at least google translate has helped. And the good news is
that there are now many web applications available to translate one language
into another using better grammar.
 b. Voice conversion feature to text or vice versa.
The voice input modifier feature of a smartphone that has a conversion
application installed is so helpful that it works quite easily. We only need to say it
in our language then choose which language we want to translate to then the
application will immediately provide output in the form of text or sound of course
in our destination language. This application is now widely used by tourists who
are vacationing somewhere.

c. English slang code in English.

If we find many strange words in English that are usually a combination of
numbers and letters in one word it turns out it is a code created by the internet.
There are even some that also make it from emojis.

d. Use barcodes (qr codes) to facilitate file transfer or file access.

This feature is one of the unique features where the purpose of this
feature is to facilitate accessing files. The way it works is simply scan the
barcode on the qr code that has been filled in the address after which our
smartphone can directly access the file from the address on the barcode.

The features and uses of the above applications are only a small part of the many
applications on the internet that we can use for an English language learning container.
