Student Online Graduation Application Guide

Applying for graduation is a two-step process.

STEP 1: Student meets with advisor to determine/confirm eligibility to apply for graduation.
STEP 2: Student applies to graduate through myStThom Student Self-service.

Below are the steps you can follow to apply for graduation.
Meet with your advisor to initiate the graduation application process.
1. Your advisor makes you eligible to apply for graduation by placing a service indicator on your record. If you
are completing a graduate and undergraduate program (e.g., BBA/MBA), you will need two indicators on
your record (one for the BBA and one for the MBA).
2. Once your advisor has added the Eligible service indicator to your record, the system will update hourly to
give you access to the link to apply for graduation in Student Self-Service. For example, if your advisor adds
the eligibility service indicator at 10:01am, you WILL NOT see the Apply to Graduate link until shortly AFTER
11:00 am.
Once the Apply to graduate link is active, log in to myStThom and submit your application.
1. Log into your myStThom account: https://peter.stthom.edu/psp/PAPRD/?cmd=login
2. From the Student Homepage, select the Academic Progress tile.
3. On the Academic Progress page, select Apply for Graduation from the left menu.

4. Click on the program in which you wish to apply for graduation. In this example, you would click on the MS-
Clinical Mental Hlth Counse link.

5. From the Select Graduation Term screen, select the term in which you will have completed ALL degree
requirements and hit continue (NOTE: If you are not completing ALL your degree requirements until summer,
your graduation term will be summer, even if you are planning to participate in the May Commencement
Ceremony.)
6. At the Verify Graduation Data screen, please ensure that the degree, major, and expected graduation
term are correct and select Submit Application. If you are unable to select the correct graduation
term/program, please email us at graduation@stthom.edu so that we may assist you.

7. Upon successful completion, you will receive confirmation that you have completed the process.

8. The Registrar’s Office will perform a final audit on your degree after grades have been posted for the semester.
If there are any issues regarding your application and degree completion, you will be contacted by the
Registrar’s Office. Upon degree conferral, the Registrar’s Office will also send you a notification.
