Write about yourself

My name is Masud Hasan. I am 21 years old. I am from Murshidabad, West Bengal. I study
Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA) at the Amity University.

The last 3 years I have been AUK are the best years of my life. I have been a part of
numerous learning experiences. Also life at Amity helped me get a better and broader
perspective of life.

On my positive side, I an a very persistent and focused at tasks assigned to me. And strive to
achieve the highest degree of perfection at my work. Also, I am good at fulfilling
responsibilities with efficiency.

On my negative side, I find it difficult to adjust in new situations. Also, I am a very introvert
which makes it difficult for me to deal with people. Also, I am not very punctual. But I am
best trying to rectify these problems.

In my free time I watch movies, and listen to songs. I am a bike and smart gadget fan. I love
to spend most of my time either riding bikes or on my phone. I also love travelling to new
places. I am more interested in practical experience than academics.

Coming to my family background, I have two siblings, one brother and one sister. My dad
is a Businessman and my mom is a housemaker.

My goal is to start my own business by next year. I want to earn good amount of money so
that I can indulge in luxury as well as help the needy in my vicinity.
2. Write an incident where you have been
unsuccessful. How did you recover
yourself?

I was a marketing intern at CHILD RIGHTS AND YOU during my semester breaks after the 4th
semester. During the internship, I was responsible for collecting data on potential clients for
collaboration, both online and offline via questionnaires. It seemed like an easy task. So, without
paying much attention to detail, I investigated and started collecting data one day. I have
compiled a list of potential clients with the data already available with the organization and also
with some research work on my part. Once the list was prepared, I started to send the
questionnaires to them by mail and waited for the response. At the end of the day, I had a large
number of questionnaires filled out. When I submitted them, I was informed that some of the
questionnaires were half completed. I realized that I hadn't checked the details before
submission. I felt disappointed because it was a reckless act. Being an intern, I was given a
second chance. I postponed the survey again and also went through each form in detail at least 2
times before finally submitting it. I was congratulated for my efforts, even if I think that I did not
deserve it in the first place, because I made blunders at the beginning!
3. Narrate an incident where you have been
successful. How did you preserve your
success?

Academics was never my cup of tea. My 10th and 12th final results were not much great as
I never studied properly because of less interest in this field.

But when I took admission in Amity University, I demanded my favourite bike from my
father. Initially, he didn’t agree and rejected. But after requesting a lot he made a deal
with me that if I get good SGPA (above 8) in my fist semester, then he would think about
it. I took this deal very seriously and from that day I started studying. I used to study
every day with full concentration and in thorough details. Days passed and examination
time arrived. I was fully prepared but was a bit tensed. My 1st semester exams went well
and upto my expectation.

When the result got declared, I checked my score and it was SGPA 8.76. Later came to
know that I came first in my section. I was very happy and called my father to inform
about my success. Even he was very happy and appreciated me wholeheartedly. After
few days I got my new bike as I kept my promise.
4. In a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 indicates least interested or
least importance and 10 indicates highest importance,
rate the behavior science course.

I would rate this subject, behavioural science, 10, i.e, of highest importance because according to
me this course is very much relevant and important for our career.

Behavioural science is of great importance to a business management, as it deals with science

and studying behaviour. It is the study of sociology and psychology. It is very much concerned
with the ways in which people behave. While on the other hand, anthropology which is also
included in behavioural science involves the study of mankind relating to all aspects. Especially,
it deals with human culture and human development.

This course helps us to groom ourselves perfectly for the practical corporate life. It helps us to
know about our own self correctly and helps us to set our goals and aims in the right direction
after knowing our strengths and weaknesses.
