 Need to help children not be stressed
 Once brain reaches 18 years old – all connections will be in place

Right Brain – Left Brain:

 In the past, we were led to believe the left brain was academic and the
right brain was creative.
 This is incorrect and unscientific
 The two sides must function together
 The Left side works details to big picture
 The Right side works big picture to details
 Functions together but from a different perspective.
 Mirror image format
 Designed to work together and in harmony.

With incorrect thinking the brain does not function properly and it then produces
chemicals in the brain that affects the body.

We need to think correctly – both sides of our brain working together.

Meditate on the Word of God.

Brain is made up of Nerve Cells

 Grow dendrites
 Words become electrical impulses causing the growth of branches which
hold the words you hear.

How do we remember?
 Short Term=memories built
 Long Term=memories are stored permanently
 Understanding leads to good memory building
 Memories live short-term 24-48 hours

One nerve cell can grow 70,000 branches

You have about one hundred trillion cells in your brain.

If you don’t build branches (memories/thoughts) correctly, you can lose 55-75%
of the information.

Thoughts heal or destroy the mind.

The more branches that grow on the nerve cell, the more intelligence one
becomes and the cells link together and more you can use that information.

take care of nerve cells.

Capacity of the brain:
 Avg human uses < 0.001% of brain (Einstein used about 10%) not enough
time to use all of brain
 We are born with 200 trillion nerve cells
 Lose 100 trillion by 2 years old (growing baby needs extra to grow in
womb. At about 2 ½ toddler learns not an appendage of mother and
makes them fearful. Needs to be in mother’s space (hug)
 1 nerve cell can grow 70,000 branches
 Amount needed for 1 grade 12 subject (70,000 branches)
 100 trillion x 70,000 branches
 3 million years to fill one human brain (1 Cor. 13:12)
 Infinite capacity for learning and storing information
 When we learn, we grow branches on the nerve cells, capacity to grow
branches is infinite

We are created in God’s image. We are created with a mind that could
communicate with Him.

Patterns for thinking are set up in childhood.

There is hope: God can take an unhealthy brain and turn it around in 4
days!
