The School
Founded in 2016, in a crowded and a new residential area of Istanbul, Gökkuşağı Koleji
is serving students from nursery through grade 12. Beylikduzu campus is an authorised
Cambridge Primary and Cambridge International School. The language of instruction is
English and Turkish, and the school operates from the mid September to mid June (180
days) with a fourteen day-semestre break at the end of January; and two short one-week
breaks in November and April.
Increasing number of international students from Middle East and Balkan countries
makes the school attractive and creates an international environment which helps
understanding cultural differences.
Classrooms are equipped with smart boards with wifi access in each classroom. Our
libraries offers reading materials and resources in Turkish and English.
As a school we implement an intensive English language programme and Spanish is
taught as a second foreign language

Facilities
School facilities comprise 55 classrooms, two libraries, an IT lab, a robotics-STEM lab, a
music room, two art rooms, an auditorium, an indoors ice skating ring, two covered
sports hall, science laboratories, garden, a cafeteria and a dining hall for students. The
schools have security systems with several cameras.

After school Learning Opportunities

Students can attend outstanding range of sports, music and art academies The school
offers a diverse and wide programme of extracurricular activities including the Duke of
Edinburgh’s Award Programme, Community Service, charity events and fundraising
activities.

Admissions - Academic Programme

New students are accepted at the beginning of the academic year. In the primary and
middle schools, students receive Cambridge international Science and Maths alongside
with the Turkish national curricula. In the High school (grade 9-12), students can choose
either national Anadolu Lise or Science Lise programme; and students can choose the
Cambridge IGCSE programme in grade 9 and 10; A levels Cambridge programme in
grade 11 and 12 alongside with the requirements of Turkish Anadolu Lise national
curricula. IGCSE and A Level students receive a Turkish Anadolu Lise diploma and
IGCSE/A Levels certificate(s) if they succeed in the full requirements. Applicants need to
sit a formal entrance exam and hold interviews if they decide to do IGCSE and A Levels. A
Level courses are selected according to students’ expectations and tertiary education
plan.
