Red - color № 4420 «PELICAN» VITA Cotton (50 grams - 330 m, 100% cotton);

Notes for following my patterns:
** crochet wrong side facing outwards.
** Work in spirals. Do not join, slip stitch or turn unless otherwise stated in the pattern.
** Use a stitch marker in the beginning of each round. This will help to mark the first stitch of
every round.
** Alternative for stitch marker: You can use different colored yarn for stitch markers too. Just
place it into the first stitch of every row/round as you go.
** Alternative for magic ring: Make chain 2. Work 6sc in first chain.
** Yarn suggestions: If you can not find the same yarn, you can buy a different brand of yarn.
It must be anti-pilling yarn. Yarn size will depend on your hook size.

The left ear - to retreat to the left 8 loops from the edge of the nose. Sew the ear between 15th
and 18th rows.

EYES
Eyes can be embroidered, but here I'll show you how to draw the eyes.
The first time I did not get a nice eyes.
It took me 5 attempts to draw beautiful eyes.
It is better to paint several pairs of eyes in different sizes, so that later you can choose the
suitable size eye.
Material fabric - cotton, white. I use fabric from old men's white shirts. Also, this fabric can be
bought in a store.
Acrylic paints on fabric:

Draw the eyes pencil as shown in picture below:
The size of the eyes is approximately 6,5 x 6,5 mm, the width of the head is 3 cm.
Natural size of eyes when printing this sheet
Draw with black color pupils:
Draw dark blue colors iris:
Draw white color white part of the eye:
Mix brown paint with white to get a lighter shade of brown. Toning iris as shown in picture
below:
Draw a glare by white color:
Draw a thin dividing line between the iris and the white part of the eye with black paint or a
black marker.

Cover the eyes by transparent lacquer 2 layers. Wait for 1 hour and then cut out the eyes.
Transparent nail polish:
Glue the eyes between rounds 13 and 17.
Glue for fabric:
Embroider the eyelashes with a brown thread – 2 eyelashes with the lower part of the eye and 2
eyelashes from the top of the eye.
Embroider the eyebrows at the level round 12.
Embroider mouth between rounds 19 and 20. Length – 3-4 loops.

HAIR
Make strands of equal length. Thread length - 22 cm.
You can fix hair 2 methods:
The first method:
1. Insert crochet hook into one of the ‘holes’ in the dolls head, and out of another
straight above it. Fold a piece of yarn in half and loop it over the hook. Pull the yarn
through the holes, but not all the way through:
2. Pull the two ‘tails’ of the hair through the bend:
Fix hair in 2 strands from 1st to 3rd rows. Fix the hair in 1 strand on the back of the head.

The second method:
1. Take a string of beige and needle. At one end of the thread make a knot:
2. Insert the needle from the back of the head and pull the needle in the 1st row of the
head:
3. Pull out the thread in the 1st row of the head (The knot at the end of the thread
should be inside the head):
4. Insert the needle into the same loop where the other end of the thread, pull out the
needle in the next loop:

5. Make a small loop:
6. Take a piece of yarn and fold a piece of yarn in half. fix a piece of yarn (how to fix
a strand of hair is described in the first method):
7. Pull the thread until it stops, so that the bundle of strands of hair is inside the head:
Fasten the next strand of hair following items 3-7.

Fix hair in 2 strands from 1st to 4th rows. The number of stitches in each round is marked in the

Bowknot
With red color
Divide the main thread into 2 parts. Crochet in 2 threads. The length of the red thread is about
6.0 meters.
To separate the strands (the way I was taught to do it):
1. Cut a piece of floss & separate 2 strands (easiest if you pull two out about 2" or 3" from
the end:
2. Hold the strands you're separating between your thumb & forefinger and the rest of the
strands between your ring finger & pinkie of your left hand:

3. Place the end of the floss loosely in your right hand as shown with your forefinger
between the separated strands:
4. Pull your finger down gently to separate the strands. If the end at the bottom tangles (it
will naturally twirl around) don't let go with your left hand unless it's just to move closer to
the point where the strands meet & simply run the fingers of your right hand down it to
straighten & smooth it. Then continue as before.

Row 1: start in second chain from hook, (1sc in ch1) repeat 8 times, ch1 [8]
Rows 2-38: turn, sc in each st around, ch1 [8]
connect the two parts together – (1 sl st in one chain of the 1 row and the stitch (back loop) of

Go to the lateral side – sc in each of next 38 sts, sl st in the first sc. Leave the thread 30 cm
long and cut.
Secure the thread from the lateral side on the other side of the bowknot and crochet from the
lateral side of each row - sc in each of next 38 sts, sl st in the first sc. Leave the thread 30 cm
long and cut.

Insert one end of the thread into the needle and make folds as shown in the photo below:
Pull the thread, make 2 turns around the bowknot, tighten the thread tightly, make 2 turns
another thread in the opposite direction. Tie two threads in the back of the bowknot.

Divide the main thread into 2 parts. Crochet in 2 threads. The length of the white thread is
about 0.6 meters on one detail.
8 single crochet in magic ring, leave the thread 15 cm long and cut.
To get a beautiful circle, put the end of the thread in the needle. Pull out the needle through the
first loop as shown in the photo below:
Next, pull out the needle through the back wall of the last stitch:

BELT
With white color
Divide the main thread into 2 parts. Crochet in 2 threads. The length of the white thread is
about 2,0 meters.
Start with ch35

Sew a seam on the belt at the back of the doll. Fix the belt at several points.
Sew on peas in random order. Sew on two buttons in the center.
