Guidelines/ Criteria
• Increase is allowed when the complan page is opened (New joiners, existing emp as per policy) but decrease is not allowed till the tenure
with the company, and cannot opt out of the scheme.
• NPS Deduction is from employees fixed pay and PRAN is mandatory for depositing NPS contribution – to be updated in Allsec on or before
17th of the month.
• If the PRAN is not received by 17th of payroll month, the contribution amount will be paid as taxable under Ex-gratia in the current pay cycle.
PRAN received after 17th of the month, the contribution would be deposited in the following month pay cycle.
• Max contribution amount to be equivalent to 10% of Basic and minimum ₹ 500/- can be deposited at a time.

• PAN card has a 10 digit alpha-numeric code, and is issued as a laminated card by the Income Tax Department.
• PAN card should be yours – not your relative’s or companies.
• You will not get tax credit without a PAN card (per Rule 37BA of Income Tax Rules, 1962, with effect from 1 st April, 2009).
• It is mandatory to quote PAN to get tax benefit (per Section 206AA of Income Tax Act, effective April 1 st, 2010).
• In the absence of PAN, a minimum tax rate of 20% will be applied on your taxable income.
• You must submit PAN at the time of joining (if not, Section 206AA will be implemented). PAN
• If the PAN is given after a few months of joining the company, a higher tax rate will be applied till its receipt.
• The higher tax will be adjusted against future taxes, and you can claim any unadjusted amount from the IT department
