UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following

O R D E R

It is accepted by Mr. Sidharth Dave, learned senior

advocate that in the process of selection undertaken in the present

matter, the petitioners were selected. However, in his submission,

there are certain irregularities, namely, that;

(a) The advertisement had not spelt out the number of

vacancies available.

(b) The marks of the individual candidates were never

(c) The recruitment process was being undertaken in a phased

manner and

(d) The authorities were resorting to pick and choose and

candidature of certain selected candidates was completely under a

question mark.

Neither any such candidate has been arrayed as respondent in

the petition nor any details are available on record with

particulars so as to take cognizance thereof.

In the circumstances, we give liberty to the petitioners to

make an appropriate representation to the concerned authorities

within one week from the date of this order. Upon receipt of such

representation the matter shall be considered by the authorities

within two weeks thereafter.

With the aforesaid observations this writ petition is disposed

of.

We shall not be taken to have pronounced upon the merits or

demerits of the contentions raised by the petitioners and the

representation if preferred, shall be dealt with purely on their

own merits.
