In each business, there will be lot of challenges from the beginning to reach to a certain extent...

Out of all other challenges, Career Management is one of the challenges faced by Human
resource management.

Before going into the subject would like to narrate a story which would definetly help to
understand the concept behind the story and reason for sharing.

There were three persons breaking stones near a pathway. When the 1st person was asked what
he was doing, he replied that he is doing something which can help him to get his day's food.

Similarly 2nd person responded that he was doing what he supposed to do as per his supervisor's
instruction.

Third person replied that He was giving his contributions towards the construction of a beautiful
temple in the uphills side by breaking all the availble stones and ensuring it reached before 5 p.m
today.

Let us analyse from the above three statement, All three were doing same activity and the same
purpose. But the mindset and the focus of each one is differes according to their goal.

Why this story is naratted because this is the current status of many employees in most of the
organization. The bigger challenge is each employee's goal / focus differes according to their
own priorities. If everyone is aware about the vision and mission of the employer, then the entire
team's focus would be same in achieving the companies target easily.

According to my views, the employee's relationship with employer and the focus of business
goals drill down to each and every employee by the organization to be transparent enough to
understandable and agreeable by the employee and employer as well.

The employee's continuous learning and growth also equally important while buiding career
along with the companies growth...

Value Vs. Price should be 1:1 ratio to be sustained for long run... Employee should be giving the
value to the company for which he is priced (salaried). Similarly the employer also give the
proper pricing (recognision, reward, remuneration, etc) equal to the value received from the
employee...

Many of the employee doesn't improve their values by self motivation to make eligible self
before claiming the salary hike or promotion.

Similarly Many of the employer's lose their valuable employees by not giving proper value for
the asset.

It is like both way give and take... The proportion should be equally priced as per value received
by both sides...
In short, the employees who is well informed about the companies growth / focuses, would
deliver better results than the less informed one.

Then the learning and development of the employee on their own. Every employee should think
what is my contribution towards the companies growth better than Yesterday vs. Today.

The Value vs. Pricing is also playes important role in career management for Employee vs.
Employer.

All the above can help to build Career Management with employee as well employer both in
long running.
