Una collezione che esprime leggerezza con la scelta di materiali light e performanti,
enfatizzata una palette colori sofisticata e tenue, che si ispira a tutte le possibili
tonalità dei vetri lavorati dal tempo.

GLI SPECIALI
GLASS, leggerissima tela di nylon ad armatura micro rip stop dall’aspetto opalescente
grazie all’applicazione di un film poliuretanico opaco sulla superficie esterna e alle
specifiche ricette utilizzate per la tintura a capo finito.

MUSSOLA WATRO, impalpabile mussola di cotone/nylon prende, corpo tramite una resinatura
interna che gli dona una leggera resistenza all’acqua e al vento. Tinta a capo finito.

Il REFLEX MAT, il nuovo materiale Reflective dalla superficie opaca.

La mitica TELA STELLA grazie alla quale è nata Stone Island nel ’82, declinata
in modelli iconici.

dodici capi caratterizzati da dettagli e grafiche Stone Island Marina, così come era una
volta, ma realizzati oggi.

Il NIGHT GLOW: una membrana super performante inserita tra due leggerissimi strati in
piquet di poliestere che catturano la luce per poi emetterla quando collocato al buio.

La TELA MARINA-R, la versione active della Tela Stella. E’ laminata all’interno con una
membrana performante.

La maglia, in un filato di cotone trattato al Teflon® e poi costruito in punto stoffa per
un’azione anti acqua e anti macchia.

Stampe, placche e profili, dalla forte luminescenza.

Blu, bianco e rosso, il codice colore che rafforza il rimando al mondo della Marina.

SPRING SUMMER ‘013

Stone Island maintains as a starting point and reference the vastness of its
archives to draw on for the research and development of new frontiers in materials
and shapes.

The references to military wear, which have always been present in Stone Island, have
been toned down in the details and are blended with leisure and sports influences, in the
eternal balance between form and function.

This collection expresses lightness, with the choice of feather-weight, high-performance

materials, emphasising a sophisticated, soft colour palette, which is inspired by all the
possible shades of glass worn down by time.

SPECIAL MATERIALS
GLASS, ultra light nylon micro rip stop twill canvas with an opalescent appearance,
owing to the application of a matte polyurethane film on the outer surface and the
specific recipes used for dyeing the finished garment.

MUSSOLA WATRO, feather-weight cotton/nylon muslin takes on body by means of an internal

resin treatment, making it slightly water resistant and windproof. Garment dyed.

REFLEX MAT, the new reflective material with a matte surface.

The legendary TELA STELLA, which brought about the founding of Stone Island in ‘82,
available in iconic models.

Totally monochromatic GHOST PIECES in a natural waterproof and windproof fabric.

The MICRO REPS, made in a military specification polyester nylon Rep. A compact wind
resistant tela.

LIGHT SOFT SHELL-R - a lightweight ultra high performance shell.

The MEMBRANA TC, a light performance fabric made from an opaque nylon outer face
laminated to a breathable, water resistant membrane. Garment dyed.

STONE ISLAND MARINA

A recurring theme in the Stone Island archives is brought back to light. In this
collection, the twelve garments mantain the original Stone Island Marina graphics
and use brand new glow-in-the-night details and techniques.

The NIGHT GLOW, an ultra high performance membrane inserted between the two ultra light
layers of piqué that has the ability of capturing light and deliver it back in the dark.

TELA MARINA-R, the more active version of Tela Stella. It is laminated inside by a
performing membrane, protected by a fine nylon mesh.

The knit, in cotton yarn treated with Teflon® and then knitted with a full Milano stitch
to give a waterproof and stain proof action.

Prints, plates and profiles as well are made in highly luminous materials.

Red, white and blue is the colour code, reinforcing the reference to the marine world.

the fabric on which Stone
Island was founded in 1982.
Tela Stella was inspired by
an enquire on the technical
and functional characteris-
tics of army truck tarpau-
lins clothes. This cotton
canvas is impregnated on
both sides with contrast-
ing pigments special resins.
The finished garment then
undergoes an extended enzyme
wash in order to give it a
faded look and to break down
the density of the material.
The result is a windproof
garment that has an air of
old oilskins corroded by
the sea, which, at the same
time, has a marked mili-
tary feel. Two flap pockets
