Transitional Sentence: When I walk

Subject: When I walk through life.
Text: Psalm 23
Proposition: As we walk we can have much confidence.
Introduction: In the 23 Psalm, You will be shown how to walk in confidence through life,
having the Lord as your best friend.
TRANSITIONAL SENTENCE: Now let us take this walk.
I. MAIN DIVISION:
a. Scriptural Support: Psalm 23
b. Explanation: The Lord is my best friend and my shepherd my comforter.
c. Illustration: I have a covenant with Him and He always gives me more than enough.
d. Application: TRANSITIONAL SENTENCE: By putting my whole trust in Him he gives
me more than enough to live here on earth.
II. MAIN DIVISION:
a. Scriptural Support: Mat 11:28  Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest. 

b. Explanation: He offers a resting place for me in his love.

His will guide me to an oasis of peace and Joy.

c. Illustration: As I rest that’s where he restores my life of strength and peace.

He shows me GOD’S righousness and leads me along in his footsteps like a child and

their father. Your authority is my strength and my peace.

d. Application: Lord, even when a path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness

places, I will fear nothing and fear will never conquer me, for you are with me always!
TRANSITIONAL SENTENCE: Removing fear will give me joy. That is where I go to
Romans.
III. MAIN DIVISION:
a. Scriptural Support: Rom 15:13  Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in
believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. 

b. Explanation: Father you anoint me with the fragrance of your Holy Spirit;

You give me all I can drink of you until my heart overflows. What peace!

c. Illustration: The comfort of GOD’S love takes away my fear.

I’ll never be lonely, for you are near.

d. Application CONCLUSION:
1. Restatement of the Proposition: We spoke about Psalm 23, and how you can walk in
confidence through life, having the Lord as your best friend. Maybe now is the time to
take Jesus as your best friend.

2. Resume of the Main Divisions of thought: You never need to walk in fear the future?

For GOD’S goodness and love will pursue you all the days of your life.

3. Final Application: Then afterward, when your life is through, you’ll return to GOD’S

glorious presence to be forever with you!

4. Invitation for response: As I look at my future I asked myself this question. Am I

confident that if I was standing before GOD would I be able to enter heaven? If there is
any doubt I ask that you come see me after the service so we can talk about this further.
