Versus
National Accountability Bureau
Respectfully Sheweth,
1. That the aforetitiled Writ Petition was disposed off, allowing bail after arrest of
the accused vide the Order dated 15-02-2018 of this Learned Court.
2. That the Court required the Petitioner Mr Abdul Majid Alvi to furnish surety for
his attendance before the court or for his attendance/surrender before the Court
subordinate to it if required.
3. That Mr Zahoor Ahmed and Mr Ali Haider Amin Qazi executed a Surety Bond
on 16-02-2018 binding themselves to produce the Petitioner before the High
Court on the day of hearing of his petition and on subsequent day or days as may
be ordered to produce or surrender him before the court of competent
jurisdiction.
4. That Mr Ali Haider Amin Qazi secured the performance of his obligations under
the surety bond through his personal property i.e. Plot No.58, Street No 6, ,
Chanab Block, Gandhara City, Islamabad.
5. That the above mentioned surety intends to dispose off the property owing to
financial difficulties. The surety is therefore desirous that the property pledged as
security be replaced with a Term Deposit Receipt of the surety amount i.e. PKR
One Million Only (PKR 1,000,000/-).
6. That such replacement of a Term Deposit Receipt shall secure the performance
under the Surety Bond to the full extent as though such replacement Term
Deposit Receipt had originally secured performance under the Surety Bond.
7. That all obligations shall remain in full force and effect and the Surety reaffirms
its commitments and obligations as contained in the Surety Bond executed on
16-02-2018.
WHEREFORE
It is humbly prayed that the instant application be allowed and the Property pledged as
security in the Surety Bond executed on 16-02-2018 be replaced with a Term Deposit
Receipt of PKR One Million Only (PKR 1,000,000/-)
Any other relief consistent with the facts of the case may also be granted.
