How To Fix These Flaws 1. I tend to seek attention in an unhealthy manner. a. Unless it’s for marketing, branding, or PR p urposes, do it because you think it’s a good use of life and because YOU like to do it. b. Don’t overvalue criticism OR praise. Keep your focus on the process and the internal rewards it brings. c. Pay attention to yourself so that you don’t have to be so “look at me all the time.” d. STOP sending demos and other things that should generally be kept private to others for approval and opinion. 2. I tend to judge others for what they could be doing, but are not. a. Understand that other people have different viewpoints, values, priorities, and goals in life. b. Focus on what you can control ALWAYS, which is not other people. c. Turn that judgement of others into motivation for yourself. 3. I tend to try to advise or control others when I can’t even control myself. a. Say something if you feel an unselfish urge to, otherwise it’s none of your business. b. Say something if you’re asked to, otherwise it’s none of your business. c. If you are going to say something, say it with an air of suggestion rather than elitism. d. Everytime you’re about to try to advise someone, gauge whether it’s advice that you genuinely think they want or advice you’re giving for the sake of attention and the “ooh look how smart I am” feelings. 4. I tend to fear silent judgement. a. Know your values and priorities and understand that you don’t know everything, but make the BEST decisions you can based on what you DO know and who you KNOW you are. 5. I tend to be inconsistent. a. Motivation is garbage. Work even when you don’t feel like it but you know you should. b. Break goals and aspirations into daily habits and routines. c. Remember the tendency you have to be inconsistent. d. To make a difference, you MUST be consistent. 6. I tend to be a slave to my emotion. a. Feel your emotions, but don’t EVER let them rule you or get the best of you. b. Meditate. c. Leverage sublimation. 7. I tend to not work hard enough. a. Be consistent. b. Learning about gardening. v. Learning how to surf. vi. Learning how to play guitar better. vii. Going out on more dates. viii. Going out to seminars, conferences, and workshops. ix. Travelling and visiting beautiful places. 10.I tend to shy away from dating, sex, and relationships in the name of work, when these are things I’d like to do as well. a. Learn how to be sexy. b. Start dating and having sex! 11. I tend to spend too much time engaging in value-vapid activities. a. Trade in things like excessively scrolling social media, watching mindless TV, and playing video games for higher quality activities such as reading, watching aesthetically- or conceptually-inspiring films and TV shows, etc. 12.
