The NS-1™ Quality and Inspection Requirements for New and Refurbished Drilling and Well Completion
Equipment is compiled in both manufacturers and purchaser’s interest by Fearnley Procter Group.

Use Restrictions
The NS-1™ standard is only to be used for the purpose for which it is provided.
Users are reminded that any publication of this type needs regular update. It is the responsibility of the individual
user to ensure that the latest edition is being used. Users shall never rely on it as a substitute for own professional
input, due care and diligence.
Publications of any company referred to in the NS-1™ specifications do not form an integral part of the NS-1™
standard, unless specifically otherwise agreed.
The contents of the NS-1™ standard are not restricted. No user should act on the basis of any matter contained
in the specifications without considering appropriate professional advice.

Revisions and their Effective Date

The contents of the NS-1™ standard are updated on a regular basis. It is the responsibility of users to follow any
instructions with regards to these revisions to insure that they are using the correct version. These instructions
will be placed in red under the title of the content concerned. Altered sections will be highlighted for ease of
reference. Where there is a transition period between the old and the new specification this will be identified on
both versions. If the user has any doubt as to which specification to use, please contact the NS Specification Help
