REVISION HISTORY
This document will continue to evolve as existing sections change and new information is added. All updates
appear in the following table:
OVERVIEW
HCM Cloud applications have two types of patches you can receive that are documented in this What’s New:
It is important for you to know what Release Update your environment is on. You can find this in your Cloud
Portal.
This document outlines the information you need to know about new or improved functionality in Oracle HCM
Cloud. Each section includes a brief description of the feature, the steps you need to take to enable or begin
using the feature, any tips or considerations that you should keep in mind, and the resources available to help
you.
In addition to this document you will also want to review the Oracle Human Capital Management Cloud
Functional Known Issues and Maintenance Packs (Document ID 1554838.1). These documents identify bug
fixes and possible known issues. You will also need to review these documents based in the release update
version you are currently on or will be moving to.
Oracle HCM Cloud release documents are delivered in five functional groupings:
HCM Cloud Common Features (This document pertains to all HCM applications. It is the base human
resource information for all products and HCM Tools.)
Global Human Resources Cloud (Global Human Resources contains the base application in which other
application use for common data such as workforce structures and person information. Regardless of
what products you have implemented you may want to see the new features for Global Human
Resources that could impact your products.)
NOTE: Not all Global Human Resource features are available for Talent and Compensation products.
2
Optional Reading for HCM Products (Depending on what products are in your cloud service):
Common Technologies and User Experience (This documents the common features across all Cloud
applications and is not specific to HCM)
NOTE: All of these documents can be found in Release Readiness oracle.com/readiness under Human
Capital Management or via the Oracle Help Center at: docs.oracle.com under Cloud Applications > Human
Capital Management.

FEATURE SUMMARY
Column Definitions:
Features Delivered Disabled = Action is needed BEFORE these features can be used by END USERS. These features are delivered disabled and you choose if and when to
enable them. For example, a) new or expanded BI subject areas need to first be incorporated into reports, b) Integration is required to utilize new web services, or c) features
must be assigned to user roles before they can be accessed.

Reports plus Small Scale UI or Process-Based new features will Not disruptive as action is required to make these features
have minimal user impact after an update. Therefore, customer ready to use. As you selectively choose to leverage, you set
acceptance testing should focus on the Larger Scale UI or your test and roll out timing.

APPLICATIONS SECURITY
Oracle Applications Security provides a single console where IT Security Managers and Administrators can
perform various functions including user lifecycle management, role definition, security policy management
(both functional and data), role hierarchy maintenance, username and password policy administration, and
certificate management. The console also enables users to simulate the effect of security changes, to run
security reports, and download a connector for integration with Microsoft Active Directory.
When an employee (Delegator) creates a delegation (Self-Service), a notification is sent to the user defined as
the Proxy (Delegate To). When an HR Administrator creates a delegation (On-Behalf of), a notification is sent
to both the selected person on behalf of whom the delegation was created (Delegator), and the user defined
as the Proxy (Delegate To).
STEPS TO ENABLE
In order to enable the delegation notifications, you must enable the following profile option and have
enabled the HCM_RESPONSIVE_PAGES_ENABLED profile option. If you have not enabled the
HCM_RESPONSIVE_PAGES_ENABLED profile option, please see following white paper: HCM Responsive User
Experience Setup Information (Document ID 2399671.1).
NOTE: This step of enabling profile is for existing customers only. New customers starting with 19D or a later
release do not need to setup these profiles, as the new responsive screens are delivered by default.
Field Value
To enable the profile option, navigate to the Setup and Maintenance work area:
1. Search for and click the Manage Administrator Profile Values task.
2. Search for and select the profile option.
3. Click to add a new Profile Value.
4. Select the Level as Site.
5. Enter a Y in the Profile Value field.
6. Click Save and Close.
The default profile value is 0, which will not send notifications.s the same.
6
TIPS AND CONSIDERATIONS
This feature is for Responsive Role Delegation. Classic functionality remains the same.
HCM SECURITY

For more information, see the following help topics in the Integrating with HCM guide at docs.oracle.com:
Now to help you further, a More Information icon is introduced only on the names of the parameters which
can be overridden by a SET instruction. When you click the orange icon, the More Information popup window
appears and you will see the details of the SET instruction that overrides the data loading behavior of your file.

STEPS TO ENABLE
You need to navigate to the Data Exchange screen on your mobile, to initiate the deletion of the stage table
data, as you would do on a PC.

Here’s how you can purge the redundant extracts archive information:
1. Select and search Purge Extracts Archive Data job under Scheduled Processes to delete data generated
by HCM Extracts runs. This data includes the associated payroll actions, object actions, and action
information rows generated by extracts.
2. In the Process Details page, define the criteria for the purge process by selecting the appropriate values
for the process parameters.

3. Click Submit.
4. You can search for the job and check the completion status with any scheduled processes.
5. If you execute the process in Report Mode, the output file provides a report including these details:
6. Use the details in the report to identify data that you want to clean up from the system. Performing this
action recovers storage and improves performance.
NOTE: You can run only one instance of this ESS job at any given time.
ROLE INFORMATION
To submit this ESS job, you need a role with the PAY_SUBMIT_PAYROLL_FLOW_PRIV function privilege.
