Indonesia as a Nation of Education and Social Cultural Background

My name is Diva, and I am a medical student from Islam University of Al-

Azhar Mataram, Now I am 19 years old, I have become medical student for 1 year
now. I always dreaming to go aboard, have a foreigner friend, and do many things
outside of Indonesia, of course I will always proud to become an Indonesian, and
when I go aboard I will tell people out there how great my country Indonesia is. So to
make that dream come true, here my first step, trying the “Sekolah Internasional”
from ISMKI, and hopefully I will get a lot of education and preparation from this
event so I can go aboard soon.

First before the main body of this essay, I am going to describe about all the
terminologies I got from the theme”Indonesia as a Nation of Education and Social
Cultural Background”. Hopefully by describing it, I will easily tell about my main
idea and what I know and what I want from this theme.

Education is an important medium of acquiring essential knowledge and

skills. It is more than just learning from books. It is an effort of the older generation
to transfer their life wisdom to their offspring. Our world is constantly changing and
developing so it is very important to teach and bring up intelligent people who could
understand the problems of modern society and solve them in a proper way.

Social Culture is the common denominator that makes the actions of the
individuals understandable to a particular group. That is, the system of shared values,
beliefs, behaviours, and artefacts making up a society’s way of life. And bt doing this
kind of action in Social Culture, we will be more understandable, more sociable, and
more easy to approach other people in society.

Okay, so far we know the meaning of Education and Social Culture, and from
the describtion we know how important the education and social culture in Indonesia.
The thing we need in Indonesia is the education that match with our social culture. So
all kind education that will be presented in Indonesia must have a symbiosis with
social culture in Indonesia. We know that Indonesia is a very big country with many
religion, many culture, many tribe, many language, and many other kind of diversity.
And don’t forget about Indonesia population that reach top 4 in the world.

So I think the education that Indonesia need is the education about a good
manner to deal with Indonesia’s diversity. Education that can lead all kind of that
diversity become one of the greatest thing that Indonesia have. Education that will
teach tolerance that will make Indonesian help each other without differentiate orther
by their cultural background, their religion, or other thing that different with what
they have.

The education in Indonesia need improvement in the way this education

implemented in real life, in elementary school, senior highschool, highschool. They
educate about how the good manner really is, but barely practice it. So I think if
Indonesia will become a nation of education and social culture background, firstly
Indonesia need to improve the tolerance of many social culture by improve the
education.

Improvement of the education in Indonesia may come fisrt in the curriculum

of it. The curriculum need to improve about the education about tolerance, and the
education of social culture in Indonesia. To improve it, I think all school in Indonesia
must have a curriculum that will lead the school in Indonesia must have a culutural
extraculliculer, such as local dance culture, local artisan culture, and many more that
will prevent all of this social culture extinct.

In conclusion the education in Indonesia must complimented with social

culture in Indonesia. So in future we will still can see many social culture and make it
as our symbol, or our characteristic as an Indonesian. This will make a lot of profit
for people in Indonesia
 Now I will tell about how the profit if Indonesia as a Nation of Education and
Social culture Background.

First, if Indonesia become nation of Education and social culture background,

Indonesia will become a big country with a lot of people that are has professional
skill because of the improved education. By having this Indonesia will become highly
developed country because one of many thing that highly developed country is
quantity and quality of their worker, with higher quantity and quality worker it will
lead to bigger produce and will lead to many improvement in people life in the
country

Second, if Indonesia become nation of Education and social culture

background. Indoensia will be the number one destination for foreigner as the tourism
place. This could happen if the education improved and match with the social culture
in Indonesia, this will make many social culture stay remains in Indonesia, and by
remaining social culture this will lead with many cultural event in Indonesia. And by
the improment in quality of quantity of our worker this will lead to an amazing
business because we can commodate the cultural event, and sell it to tourist that come
to Indonesia. By doing this we can make a lot of devisa while prevent the cultural
event become extinct and also make many vocation for Indonesia people and reduce
underemployed rate in the society, so this become a win – win solution for Indonesia
government and Indonesia people
