Bad Eggs

It was a beautiful calm and sunny day on top of

a gigantic mountain. A brown nest teetered on
top of a tiny mountain peak. Inside, snuggled in
the nest, there were three white eggs. However
they were not all the same. One was quite
large, about the size of a grapefruit. Another
egg, the one in the middle, was a bit smaller,
more like an apple. The third egg was the
smallest. It was about the size of a typical egg
that you might make a delicious breakfast with.
Suddenly, the big egg started shaking back and
forth! Then right after, the little egg did the
same thing. Whatever was inside was trying to
get out! After a few shakes a weird looking
lanky bird shattered its egg prison and was free.
The little bird in the little egg did the same
thing. However these were not normal looking
creatures. They both had two big googly white
eyes perched above their long yellow
perturding pointy beaks. They both had long
skinny necks attached to big spherical bellies.
Three odd strands of goofy hair stuck out of
their heads. The two birds started chirping
happily back and forth glad that they had
broken their egg barriers. The bird inside the
middle became terribly jealous. His brothers
were free to enjoy the beautiful world but he
was still stuck in his eggy prison. He became
angry and started to shake to try and burst out.
However, he wasn’t strong enough. He needed
help!
The big bird tried to come to his rescue. He
bent his head down towards the egg beside him
and tapped on it softly with his beak. The egg
shook but it didn’t break open. The small bird
copied his older brother and did the same
thing. Right after the egg shook again but the
bird inside was still trapped. The bird’s eyes
widened and suddenly he had an idea. He
turned the direction of the egg and leaned over
it. He give it a gentle little nudge. The small bird
copied the big one agagin. The two birds took a
quick look at each other because they were a
little confused and frustrated. Both of the birds
started working together by rocking the egg
back and forth faster and faster. The birds
became really annoyed and stressed out.
Nothing they were doing was working. It was
time to peck wildly! Their big yellow beaks
started pecking insanely trying to free their
brother. Finally the furious bird inside the egg
busted with strength. His egg bulged with
cracks! The two birds were shocked that what
they tried actually worked. They couldn’t
believe their beady giant wide eyes.
Suddenly……KABOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!! The
middle egg exploded with anger because of all
the rude pecking sending his two brothers
flying through the air like two out of control
rockets. The two bird were hurdling so fast off
the mountain peak they had trails of dust left
behind them!
