Description Rear view

The RPIV-R4-32 Digital Fault Recorder has been developed to monitor
power plants, transmission and distribution substations of electrical utili-
ties by acquiring the following information in real time:

• Current signals from the CT secondary winding

• Voltage signals from the PT secondary winding
• Transducers signals (usually 4 to 20 mAdc)
• Digital inputs for event recording
• Frequency, through AC voltage inputs
• Time, through IRIG-B input (GPS based time reference)

RPIV-R4-32 is a modular equipment that can be configured with a large

number of isolation modules with up to 192 digital and 32 analog inputs.

RPIV-R4-32 communicates with a master station, a personal computer or

a communication processor through Ethernet, serial or modem. Optical
isolation for all interfaces is available as an optional.

Recorded data includes waveform records (up to 21 s), phasor records

(up to 60 minutes) and steady state phasor data logging.

Configured RPIV-R4-32 with 64 digital inputs, 24 current or voltage analog

AC inputs and an IDC module with 8 DC analog inputs.
