EDUCATION
The Ohio State University, Columbus OH-Bachelor of Science in Education (August 2017-Anticipated May 2020)
-Once I complete this degree, I plan to teach life science at the middle or high school level. I would like to be the supervisor for a
diversity club as well.
-Made Deans list in Spring and Fall of 2018.
The Ohio State University, Columbus OH- Bachelor of Art in Zoology (August 2012-December 2016)
-Began my college career as pre-veterinarian. Discovered this career was not for me and changed majors to zoology. I took
courses that focused on topics that would support my desire to teach life sciences.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Student teaching, Franklin Heights High School: January 2, 2020-April 22, 2020
-Will participate in co-planning and co-teaching practices. Taught lessons, created lesson plans, worked on classroom
management, grading, connecting with students and worked to understand what it takes to be a good educator.
-Created full length units, quizzes, unit tests and incorporating them into online schooling options.
Short-late-fall field placement, Graham Elementary and Middle School: October 28, 2019 – December 4, 2019
-Five mornings per week, 85 contact hours.
-Participated during lessons, created lesson plans, helped students with work and plan for a middle school classroom.
-This experience was completely different from Franklin Heights. The students were middle schoolers, in a charter school, in a
non-accelerated classroom and most had some sort of behavioral issues to work through. Challenging but I loved it.
Long-early-fall field placement, Franklin Heights High School: August 2019 – October 25, 2019
-Full-days of observations for first days of school year, followed by five mornings per week for a total of 232 contact hours.
-Participated in a co-planning co-teaching education model. Helped to create lessons, take attendance, grade work, and improve
my classroom management while making connections with the students.

ADDITIONAL WORK
For two separate independent studies, I joined my previous anatomy professor to help her lab sections. I helped students taking
the class with dissections and understanding the concepts of anatomy.
While completing my last year of school, I participated in a program known as the D.I.C.E. program. This stands for Diversity,
Intercultural and Community Engagement. This program allowed for me to further my involvement with social justice and
diversity.
