DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH & FAMILY WELFARE SERVICES

Applications in the prescribed format on behalf of the Government are invited by

the Undersigned on or before 14/05/2010 by 05:45 p.m. from eligible candidates who are
Native / Resident of the Union Territory of Puducherry for appointment to the following
Group ‘C’ Technical posts in the Department of Health & Family Welfare Services,
Puducherry. The particulars viz. Name of the Post, No. of vacancy, Reservations for
various categories of persons as earmarked by the Government, Pay Band with Grade
Pay attached to the post concerned, Educational / Technical qualifications prescribed for

Eligibility:
Age: Between 18 – 32* years as on 14/05/2010 which is the last date for receipt of filled
in application. (*The upper age-limit for recruitment by the method of Direct Recruitment
as per Rules (Upper Age-limit for Direct Recruitment) Rules (1998) increased by two years
w.e.f. 01.04.1999.)

NOTE:

(i). The methodology of selection to the categories of post mentioned above and
the horizontal reservation applicable to each category of posts are given in detail in
the instructions to candidates, along with the application forms. The
relaxations/concessions extended to various categories of person in respect of age,
etc. are also given in the instructions.

(ii). Candidates are also advised to read carefully the General Instructions given
in the application before filling up the forms to know the list of certificates to be
enclosed along with the application, and the crucial date for determining the age in
respect of candidates who have applied earlier for these posts based on a court
judgement (See Note below para 6 in General Instructions to candidates).

2. The applications will be issued at free of cost.

3. The application Form may be obtained either in person or by post with effect
from 19/04/2010 from the following Offices;-(i) Directorate of Health and Family Welfare
Services, Health Department Complex, Opposite to LIC Office, New Saram, Puducherry-
13 (ii) Govt. General Hospital, Karaikal, (iii) Govt. General Hospital, Mahe and (iv) Govt.
General Hospital, Yanam. Applicants desirous of receiving the application form by post
may send a self addressed envelope of size 30x12 cms affixed with necessary postage
stamp along with requisition to any one of the offices mentioned above. Applications can
also be seen and downloaded from the website www.pon.nic.in and
http://health.puducherry.gov.in. Applications received in any other form will not be
accepted.

4. The filled in applications along with attested copies of certificates should

reach the Director, Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services, Health
Department Complex, Opposite to LIC Office, New Saram, Puducherry-605 013 on or
before by 05:45 P.M. on 14/05/2010. (Instructions / General Instruction to
candidates attached with the application form should not be enclosed) The
Directorate shall not be responsible for any postal delay.
