 Objective of learning

• Recite and use direct speech and indirect speech in English

• Form sentences based on the video seen and make the direct speech.
 Reported Speech

1. She said " the world cup refers to the FIFA WORLD CUP, a soccer tournament held
once every four years.
2. She had said "the world cup refers to the FIFA WORLD CUP, a soccer tournament

3. She explains that it is the World Cup.
4. She explained that it was the World Cup.
5. She has told us how to play the FIFA Cup.
6. She has responded to us as is the classification of each round of the tournament.
7. She had been telling us that there are 32 teams in the world that play this tournament.
8. He also told us that the cup is held once every four years.
9. And she said "it is played for a month".
10. She had been telling us that of the 32 teams, they go to the next round only 16.
11. She has explained that of the 16 teams, they only qualify 8 to play the quarterfinals.
12. She has said that of the 8 teams only 4 pass to play the semifinals.
13. She must know a lot about football and the FIFA World Cup.
14. Finally she tells us that the final of the world cup is played by only two teams.
15. She explained that only one country will be the world champion.
16. She has advised us on how players stand out when they score goals.
17. She has also explains that faults are sanctioned with yellow cards and red cards.
18. She says that this tournament the players marks penalty goals and spectacular plays
for the public.
19. She tells us how FIFA says that "the World Cup is the most widely followed and or
most widely.
20. FIFA also says its sporting event even more popular than the Olympic games.
 Conclusions

We can conclude that knowing how to use Direct Speech and Reported Speech helps us to
quote and say the phrases of another person in several verb tenses.
