What does it means to be a Filipino?

This critique paper is about what it really means to be a Filipino, because

being a Filipino means being part of a family and being supported by one

another. You can see it whenever Filipinos are around. It don’t matter to Filipinos

whether you’re related to blood or not Filipinos will still treat you like a family.

Filipinos have different traits for example being a hospitable Filipino,

means to have a very welcoming personality. Filipinos have visitors and in

people Filipinos meet. Also one of the Filipino traits is being generous and helpful

for example during an especial occasions like birthdays, fiestas, Christmas, etc.

Filipinos prepare lots of foods to share and help each other. And another one

Filipinos are also respectful to each other for example when passing by an elder

Filipinos greet “good morning po” in the morning and in the evening “good

evening po”.

Filipinos have a very amazing history in the history of Philippine Filipinos

were colonized by a lot of country in the past the first country that is Colonized

Filipino is Spanish, second is America, the last one is the country Japan

Ferdinand Magellan in 1521,a Portuguese explorer who is serving for the

Spanish crown. Magellan landed in Samar on his voyage to circumvent. But

America saved Filipinos from Spanish. And then America had a war with the

Japan people here in the Philippines a lot of innocent people got killed. Filipinos
 have different beliefs/religion that they got from their ancestors. Example of a

religion is Christianity and when you add beliefs with it Filipino will follow it. There

is one belief that every Christian should be baptize since from a baby. I know a

belief in Muslims only believe in Allah (in the existence and oneness of God).

And Tawhid (monotheism belief in God’s justice). They also have physical

characteristics. A women should wear under the knee dresses and should be fit

and pretty, do house work. A man should be masculine and earn money.
