OPENING

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen.


Let me just start by introducing myself, my name is Stefani Kristiana Santoso. I’m from
Brebes, I live in pawiyatan luhur. I’m student at Unika Soegijapranata and I take accounting
major, it’s my first year of college here. Today I’m going to talk about journal entitled
“Integrating Makna As The Curricular Foundation For Accounting Proffession Education. I’ve
divided my presentation into 3 parts
OUTLINE
First, I’d like to explain you about the overview of the journal. Second, I will explain you
about the methodology, and the last one the result of the journal. My presentation will take
about 15 minutes, there will be time for questions after my presentation. Please save any
question for the end of the talk.
CONTENT
First, I’d like to explain about the introduction part describe the objective and the
background of this research. Next, the methodology explain about the authors describe how
this research obtains and analyzes it’s research data. And the last one is result and
discussion part describe the result of this research in forms interview with this informants of
this study.
OVERVIEW: I’d like to discuss the overview.
This journal entitled Integrating Makna As The Curricular Foundation For Accounting
Profession Education. The journal was written by Jurana, he comes from Economic faculty
Tadulako Univesity. And Unti Ludigdo, Ali Djamhuri, Yeney Widya Prihatiningtias they comes
from faculty of economics and business, Brawijaya University Malang. It was published in
the International Journal of Accounting and Business Society 2017. Capitalistic values
dominate recent accounting education system and reality. So, errors can be contained
education objectives can be realized and a whole person, especially accountants can be
produced. Therefore, this study aims to reveal the role of moral, akhlak and nationalism
values in the curriculum PPAK.
METHODOLOGY: Now, we’ll move on to methodology
The research data was collected by in-depth interview to the informants. Those interview
were conducted in 3 stages:
1. The first is opening the informants awareness concerning the implementation of
PPAK, which is shackled by capitalism and pragmatism that tend to
beanthropocentric and hedonic
2. The second stage is convincing the informant that the values of Makna should be
integrated the implementation and the curriculum of PPAK
3. The third stages is observing and listening carefully to the informant developing this
thought on the integration Makna values in PPAK curriculum.
RESULT: Next lets take a look of the result
Based on those definitions , Makna-based education doesn’t only teach certain field of
knowledge also moral, cultural and skill values. This paper discusses the importance of
MAKNA values on accounting profession educating graduates. This is intended to create
accountants who have Makna values in their lives. The values of Makna will reduce the
phenomena of capitalism, anthropocentrism, pragmatism, and hedonism (CAPH) in the
current PPAK implementation.
