I spent the academic year of 2019-2020 student teaching in the Cy-
Fair district at Birke’s Elementary. While student teaching, I had
the opportunity to student teach in a fifth-grade reading/language
arts classroom as well as a first-grade classroom. This experience
provided me with the chance to hone my skills such as lesson
planning, verbal and written communication, parent teacher
relationship building, differentiated instruction and much more. I
believe being nurturing and genuine, along with professional and
driven is an essential combination for people in this field. My
strengths in the field of education include strong communication
skills, the ability to collaborate, organization, flexibility and
fluidity, and classroom management. For several years I have
focused my career path and academic pursuits on learning and
developing those all-important skills necessary to be great in this
