NORD-TEST Cleaner U 87

Environmentally safe cleaner/remover for pre-

cleaning and removing excess surface
penetrant from an inspection area.

This class 2 non-halogenated solvent remover

can be used on a wide range of different
surfaces to remove contaminants prior to
penetrant inspection. U 87 evaporates quickly
without any residues.

Directions for use

For NDT pre-cleaning:

1. Spray the surfaces to be cleaned liberally with the cleaner then either wipe off or
allow to air dry, or soak a clean cloth with the cleaner and wipe the part clean.
2. Allow the part to dry thoroughly before applying the penetrant.

To remove excess surface penetrant:

1. Apply U 87 to a cloth, wipe test surface an repeat as needed.

2. Do not spray SKC-S directly on the part because penetrant indications may be
removed.
