1. The purpose of the student to learn KIND of FORMAL and INFORMAL CONVERSATION
The student will learn how and when they should using a formal and informal conversation in
their field of work in certain condition.
2. Activity
a. The students will divided into two groups.
b. They will search about formal and informal conversation.
c. Then the teacher will chose some student to presented their material.
d. The teacher will explain more about formal and informal conversation.
3. EXAMPLE of FORMAL AND INFORMAL CONVERSATION
In using language in order to communicate we usually find various expressions or greetings when
you meet someone you know or someone you just met. Greetings and languages in English are
divided into 2 namely formal and informal.
Formal greeting
Formal greeting is greeting that is often used when there are official events such as meetings,
meeting someone at an official activity and many others.
Example of Formal greeting:
Good morning / selamat pagi
Good afternoon / selamat sore
Hello / halo
Could I help you? / bolehkah saya membantu anda?
Informal greeting
Informal greeting is a greeting that you can use to greet people who are already close or familiar
with you, such as friends or closefriends. Informal greeting can also be used in informal places
such as in markets, on the road and etc.
Example of Informal greeting
Morning / pagi
Afternoon / sore
Hi / hi
Can I help you? / bisa saya bantu?
4. Students assignment
The students will make some formal sentences that will they use in their field of work.

1. The Purpose of the student for PRACTICE SPEAKING WITH USING DIALOGUE
The student will learn how to use formal conversation in airline staff.
2. INSTRUCTION
- Every student will learn about how to make a dialogue (formal condition).
- Read the dialogue in front of the class, make sure you make a good and right vowel sound
and pronunciation, read the dialogue carefully and with aloud.
- Listen to dialogue that your friends read in front of the class, and then you should identify the
formal dialogue (find the proof that it is from the sentence or the greetings).
