“Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)”

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a virus that is primarily spread through
respiratory droplets and it has the potential to cause severe illness and pneumonia in some
people. This disease first identified in Wuhan Hubei Province, China, the virus originated from
animals and then spread to people and now spreading from person-to-person. Coronaviruses are
a large family of viruses that cause respiratory infections. These can range from the common
cold to more serious diseases. The 2019 coronavirus probably seems scary when you read the
news about new deaths, quarantines, and travel bans, the novel coronavirus is much less severe
and widespread than more common and more threatening infectious conditions, like the flu.The
symptoms of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) are characterized by mild symptoms,
including a runny nose, sore throat, cough, fever and may appear 2 to 14 days after exposure.
Illness can be more severe for some people and can lead to pneumonia or breathing difficulties.
More rarely, the disease can be fatal older people and people with other medical conditions (such
as asthma, diabetes, or heart disease) may be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill. The virus
that causes COVID-19 seems to be spreading easily and mostly in the community. People have
been infected with the virus in an area, are not sure how or where they became infected. A
person who is actively sick has been referred to the public health service to seek medical advice
for investigation of possible COVID-19 symptoms. In case a person infected with this virus the
medical doctor will recommend treatment for any symptoms or complications that develop,
based on FDA no treatment or vaccines for these viruses. People infected with this virus are
isolated either in the hospital or at home, depending on how sick they are or until they are better
and no longer pose a risk of infecting others. During this time, the only way to prevent the spread
of infection is to avoid or limit contact with people who are showing symptoms of COVID-19 or
any respiratory infection and the next thing you can do is practice good hygiene like (wash your
hands frequently for at least 20 seconds at a time with soap and water. In case water are not
available, use a hand sanitizer with at least 70% isopropyl alcohol, avoid close contact with
people who are sick, stay at home when you are sick, don’t touch your face, eyes, nose, or mouth
when your hands are dirty, cover your mouth with the inside of your elbow whenever you sneeze
or cough, throw any tissues you use in the trash can, standard household cleansers and wipes are
effective in cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces, maintain healthy
habits) to prevent bacteria and viruses from spreading.
This news was forecasted lately, and the Department of Health alarming the Philippine
Government about the COVID – 19 virus and some government officials made an action that all
foreign residents are not allowed to enter in our country. Foreign residents in our country may be
worried or nervous about their friends and relatives who are living in or visiting areas where
COVID-19 is spreading. Fear and anxiety can lead to social disgrace or stigma. It hurts everyone
by creating more fear or anger towards ordinary people instead of the disease that is causing the
problem.
This virus expanse to another country like Italy, the second most affected area with COVID
19.COVID 19 was expanded by some countries, UK, Hong-Kong, Switzerland, USA, France,
Philippines and others. Some of the people made to prevent this virus. And some affected people
where isolated to the place so they can survive.
