The goal of education is to prepare students for their success's within the near future.

This can be done by providing them with the necessary tools to give them
both integrity and confidence to pursue their dreams. The role of the teacher is to be a
source of encouragement and guidance during difficult times, by working with the
students in a cooperative effort to achieve success.

Teachers should be the main source of instruction, but also give students
independence and the necessary comfort to be able to discover key concepts and ideas
for themselves. Whether in the classroom or in meeting groups of the general public.
My goal is to encourage thinking in rational ways, so that this can be applied in other,
unfamiliar situations. I particularly emphasize learning to think about trends and
directions (e.g. increasing this will decrease that), rather than rote memorization of
facts.  Teachers also need to strive for total class engagement, which can be achieved
using Kagan and Tribe strategies such as "Rally Coach". Students typically have a large
amount of pressure and expectations within them, so I believe schools should be a
comforting and safe environment where they feel themselves the most. The classroom
environment is a simple way to assist students in feeling comfortable, by using a
variation of methods such as smells and non-traditional lighting (dim lighting). This
allows the students to feel both relaxed and safe during their days. I believe my
enforcing and practicing behaviourism by positive reinforcements allows students to
become aware from right and wrong.

By building on both the students strengths and weaknesses, they are able to move
onto their next chapter of education feeling more confident in their academic skills and
their personal growth. Success in learning occurs when students take the time to allow
their worldviews to grow and see each new school day as an opportunity and privilege,
rather than just a simple obligation.

When students are able to work together in Tribes, they may be introduced to a new
thought process. This encourages them to collaborate their thinking to progress their
academics. Success in teaching happens when teachers accommodate all learners, by
allowing them to discover more about themselves and how they might learn best. By
taking the time to recognize many of the multiple intelligence's such as, musical,
visual, auditory, bodily-kinesthetic, the teacher can then incorporate special segments
focused on these learning strategies that will provide the best academic results for the
students of that certain development. Once this has been achieved, students can truly
excel in personalized ways that illustrate the uniqueness and diversity found in every
single classroom.

Parents should be encourages to stop by and see their child perform the day to day
tasks that is required from them. A simple note in the students agenda may be
comforting for parents because now they too realize they are a key piece in the
development of their child, both academically and socially.
The teacher should be a mentor and a friend and take an interest in the students
lives to further this relationship with their students, at the appropriate times. It is
important that teachers stay professional and authoritative, but also turn the
classroom into a warm and welcoming space that students can wake up and be excited
to be apart of. Evaluations should be a reflection of the students academic ability, but
should also include to some degree a personal evaluation that can include
different characteristics the students can develop throughout the year. Overall the
teacher should approach each school year having a fresh outlook on the journey ahead
that will see new faces enter the classroom who are ready, and eager to learn.
