To Whom It May Concern:

Madeline Cho, a current 3rd grade teacher at Sycamore Elementary School in Upland, has asked
me to write a reference letter. She and I currently work together on the 3rd-grade team at
Sycamore Elementary School in Upland, CA.

Madeline has worked at Sycamore Elementary for the past three school years: first as a
kindergarten teacher, and currently, as a 3rd-grade teacher. Madeline is not only very passionate
and innovative in her work, but she is truly the definition of a team player. When our school site
dropped enrollment with our kindergarten population during the 2018-2019 school year, our
administration asked if a teacher would be willing to move to the 3rd grade team. That was three
weeks into the school year. As difficult as the decision was, Madeline volunteered to make the
switch. In doing so, she became my teammate, and I have had the great honor to work with her.

Our first year teaching 3rd grade together, we both made a dramatic move as she moved from
kinder to 3rd and I moved from 6th to 3rd. During that first year, Madeline and I leaned on each
other for support the entire year. We continue to collaborate weekly during our weekly team
meetings, and we will often touch bases with each other regarding curriculum pacing, new ideas,
and concerns two or three times throughout the week. As a teacher, she shares and implements
creative ideas in order to motivate student learning. She follows up with parents regarding
concerns, and she creates an environment for her students to engage in daily activities with
positivity. She is amazing with technology and picks up on new trends quickly, easily sharing
her knowledge with me. As a colleague and friend, she is easy-going and a great team player.

These past two years, Madeline has become my closest colleague, which makes her possibly
leaving Sycamore difficult for me to imagine. I know, however, that Madeline would make a
great addition to any team she is a part of. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any
