OmniSTAR Satellites: L-Band Frequency Change
This document describes a change in OmniSTAR satellite L-Band frequencies during December 2011 and
January 2012. The following products are affected when using an OmniSTAR service:
 FM-750 display
 FM-1000 integrated display
 EZ-Guide® 500 lightbar guidance system
 (AFS/PLM) 132/332 and (AFS/PLM) 252/262 receivers
Due to a broadcast re-arrangement implemented by the satellite provider, OmniSTAR is in the process of
changing the frequency of its L-Band corrections satellites around the world. There will be an 8-week
period when both the current frequency and the replacement frequency are available for use.
(CNH/Case IH/ New Holland) and OmniSTAR apologize for any inconvenience that this satellite
switchover may cause.
If the receiver or display is used to receive an OmniSTAR signal before the satellite change commences,
the products listed above will change automatically. (OmniSTAR satellite selection should be set to
automatic.) However, it is advised not to wait until that last moment to see if these products make the
change automatically.
If possible, turn on receivers with OmniSTAR subscriptions during this period to activate the change.
Otherwise, make the change manually through the receiver or display user interface, or the Ag Remote
utility computer interface.
 Units powered up during the transition time will receive, and be temporarily programmed to look for,
the alternative frequency. These units should update automatically to the new satellite and frequency.
 Units that are not turned on during this period will require a manual update to the new frequencies:

FM-750 display Display user interface
FM-1000 display Built-in AgRemote utility
EZ Guide 500 system Display user interface

Make sure that auto select is turned off. Otherwise, the receiver is programmed to
(AFS/PLM) 252/262 look for the original satellite/frequency again, which will not be there.

Affected satellites and regions are as follows. There are no immediate changes to frequencies used on the
Eastern, Central, or Western Beams for North America.
All baud rates will remain unchanged.
