Brief description
When using reagents with a high concentration of detergents , it can happen that the cuvettes overflow.
This is because too much foam is created in the tubing and that's why the vacuum pumps get partially
obstructed. In consequence the cuvettes are not completely emptied before the next wash dispensing step
will happen.
The following step by step procedure describes how to change the hardware to overcome this problem using
the HumaStar 100 Hydraulic Modify Kit (16890/255).

Necessary tools
3. Assemble the two barbed panel fittings (part 6) for peristaltic pump 6
(EV6) in positions 11 and 12. 11 12
Please note: Don't forget to assemble the plastic tube holder in position
12 on the back side of the hydraulic panel.

10. Plug the electrical connector of the KNF vacuum pump 1 (EV7A) to the
wiring EV7A connector.
The EV6 connector, used by the removed EAD vacuum pump remains
free, to be used at the next step.
11. Assemble the hydraulic panel EV6 connector next left to the EV5
connector (not shown in the picture, just indicated by a pointer).
Connect the electrical connector of pump 6 (EV6) to the hydraulic panel
EV6 connector.
12. Connect silicon tube marked "6", coming from peristaltic pump 6 (EV6), to D3
fitting D3.
