What is CIP ?

• CIP (Cleaning In Place) is a process used to clean equipments and systems with minimal dismantling and
operator intervention

• A chemical detergent or solvent is applied in the equipment/ system, during a certain amount of time and
under certain pressure, temperature, flow and concentration conditions

• The working principle consist in the correct amount of energy application (thermal, chemical and kinetic)
ensuring the cleanliness of the system

If micro-biologically cleanliness is required, an additional process can be carried out SIP

What is SIP ?

• SIP (Sterilizing In Place) is a process used for sanitizing, disinfecting or sterilizing equipments/ systems
normally after a CIP clean

• SIP will remove any remaining microbiological contamination

• Thermal SIP - Thermal sterilization by steam application or hot water at a pre-defined temperature
and period of time

Two
types Advantage : reach areas such as sample points, which may not be treated by chemical means

• Chemical SIP - Sanitation or Disinfection, generally applied after the CIP, by the introduction of a
sanitizer or disinfectant chemical into the final rinse waters of the CIP
• Steam traps

• Pressure reducing valves

• Pressure sustaining valves

• Blanketing regulators Coming soon

8 groups of products
• Control valves

• Sample coolers

• Humidity separators

• Vacuum breakers

Compressed air Water liquids
P-160/ P-160A/
PS-160/ PS-130 Clean steam compatible

For operation principles and Kv calculation, please refer to part 4 of this training
The blanketing process consist in covering the stored medium , usually a liquid, with a gas
(normally N2)

• Prevent and protect against explosions (avoiding flammable liquids being vented from
the vessel)
• Control product contamination against external air that may fill the vapour space
• Reduce evaporation losses (consequently product losses)
• Reduce internal corrosion (caused by air and moisture)
• Prevent vacuum condition
• Compact design
• Completely machined from barstock material
Main features • No castings or forgings used on standard version
• No rising stem
• Clamp ends or others on request

BKR Low pressure regulator

BKV Low pressure vent valve

SANITARY BLANKETING REGULATORS

VALVE MODEL ALLOWED FLUIDS

BKV/ BKR Compressed air Nitrogen Other gases compatible

• Single seated, two way, direct or reverse action valve
• Valve top flange permanently attached to the body, removal is
unnecessary for replacing the actuator
Main features
• Metal to metal or soft sealing
• Self draining design
• Clamp ends or others on request

PV928 PV926

PV922
• Equal percentage (EQP)
Plug types • Linear (PL)
• On-Off (PT)

• Full port as standard

• Pressure and temperature
• Flow rate
• 2 way or 3 way valve
Required info for • Preferably connections (flanged or threaded)
selection • Pneumatic or electrically actuated
• Pneumatic: spring to open / spring to close
• Positioner: I/P 4-20 mA or 0-10V
PP/ 0.2-1.0 bar (3-15 psi)
•Application (heat exchanger, jacket vessel, steam cooker, etc)

For operation principles and Kv calculation, please refer to part 5 of this training
ADCA sample coolers are specially designed to cool samples of boiler water or steam for analysis

• Corrosion-resistant body and internals

Main features • Self draining sample (inlet top, outlet bottom)
• Surface finish of sample tubes internal area: 0.5 µm RA

SC32P SC32PP
When wet steam is used in sterilization, moisture in suspension reduces the heat transfer efficiency
and the validity of the sterilization process can be compromised

SOLUTION? ADCA centrifugal separators

• 316L stainless steel construction

• No moving parts
Main features • Self draining design
• S-11A model with air vent connection
• Clamp ends or others on request
S-11
S-10HV
ADCA vacuum breakers are devices that automatically relieve or “break” an unwanted vacuum
condition, restoring the atmospheric pressure
