Task 4

Laptop 1)interface mimic a typical desktop setup, 2)compact with a keyboard

and mouse. Tablets, however, have a special touch-screen display intended for use
with a3)digital pen, rather than a keyboard or mouse. Laptops generally cost less
than tablet PCs with 4)stable features. Virtually all laptops are designed to be
portable. Conversely, some tablets are 5) lightweight and portable, but others are
bulky. Laptops usually have a better average battery 6) lifelong; however, some
tablet PCs can be
7) upgraded with “8)smart batteries” that improve 9)charge duration. Laptops
often feature better hardware for faster 10)performance with most general
programs. However, the touch display of a tablet PC allows increased functionality
with certain digital imaging programs like Adobe Photoshop or Corel Draw.

The vision for Tablet PCs isn’t narrowing, but continually expanding. More 1)
mouse are entering the Tablet PC market. With newer hardware we’ve seen2)
production improvements, including screens with better viewing angles and
outdoor visibility, faster 3) performance, improved wireless 4) touch fingerprint
recognition, array microphones and longer battery 5) lifelong. Although the 6)
mouse of Tablet PCs originally focused on corporate 7) change, especially those
who were often away from the desktop or office, the 8) constant market has rapidly
grown. Laptop/tablet PC combos feature the normal 9) stable and physical
keyboard of a notebook with the touch screen 10) compact of a tablet PC

Cloud perspectives

Developers of new computer software are increasingly talking about

"cloudcomputing" - "cloud computing", which is a radical integration of a single
computer into a computer network (for example, the Internet). All applications
run on a remote server, to which the user connects via the network from any
point where the network is available.

"Clouds" is an elastic IT infrastructure, both internal (on the servers of one

company) and external, public (the company uses the power of a third-party
provider). For the average user, cloud technologies are most easily represented
by the example of GoogleDOCs, Google Cloudconnect, WindowsLive, and
Dropbox. Cloud services are increasingly used by software developers.

Over the past decades, the world has repeatedly experienced revolutionary
changes in computer technology. Instead of huge computing centers, the
personal computer appeared in the 1970s. In the noughties, a similar revolution
took place in the way data is exchanged in networks, and now everyone uses e-
mail, including pensioners. Business is increasingly immersed in virtual reality, and
the dot-com crash at the beginning of the XXI century did not prevent it at all.

The next step in computer evolution may take us back to the huge data centers
that provide customers with their computing power. Due to the dramatically
increased cable throughput, the location of the server is no longer important.
Developed by Microsoft, the WindowsAzure cloud environment is located in data
centers in six locations around the world on three continents. At the same time,
26 operating centers in different countries allow you to reduce the dependence of
speed and data on distance.

When using such technologies, the cost of purchasing and managing web servers
no longer pays off. You can buy space in the data center by getting new servers in
a few minutes and returning them back just as quickly. This center organizes the
"cloud" where the information is located. The speed of its movement is several
times higher than the current speed of data exchange between web servers.
