1. Magellan Ferdinand Magellan was a Portuguese explorer who led the first expedition
to circumnavigate the globe. Like many of his contemporaries, Magellan set
out to discover a Western sea route to the Spice Islands in Indonesia.
Magellan ended up proving, instead, that the world was indeed round and
bigger than anyone had previously imagined.
2. Antonio Pigaffeta was an Italian scholar and explorer from the Republic of Venice. He joined the
expedition to the Spice Islands led by explorer Ferdinand Magellan under the
flag of King Charles I of Spain and, after Magellan's death in the Philippines,
the subsequent voyage around the world. During the expedition, he served as
Magellan's assistant and kept an accurate journal which later assisted him in
translating the Cebuano language. It is the first recorded document concerning
the language.
4. Bathala is the all-mighty epicene and hermaphrodite deity who created the universe. A
descriptive honorific is often attached to his name, describing him as
the Bathalang Maylicha and as the Bathalang Maycapal

The 12th of June of every year since 1898 is a very important event for all
the Filipinos.  In this particular day, the entire Filipino nation as well as
Filipino communities all over the world gathers to celebrate the Philippines’
Independence Day. Two major events happened in 1872, first was the 1872
Cavite Mutiny and the other was the martyrdom of the three martyr priests
in the persons of Fathers Mariano Gomes, Jose Burgos and Jacinto Zamora
(GOMBURZA). 

Why it is important for the Filipinos to know the different sides of the story
of the execution of GOMBURZA which in effect a major factor in the
awakening of nationalism among the Filipinos?

d. The road to independence was rough and tough to toddle, many patriots named
and unnamed shed their bloods to attain reforms and achieve independence. So
based on this event happened in the Philippines, would you surrender yourself
against the Spaniards or fight for the independence even you will probably know
that it is a life terrifying?
