Report of Medicare Multispeciality Hospital and Trauma Centre, Selaqui,

Dehradun
As directed by our Faculty in-charge, I was supposed to visit any hospital or Medical
Institution in order to observe the procedure and methods followed by the Management and
staff of the Hospital, and to observe the overall working of that place and to make a report
thereof, of the same.

In order to accomplish this endeavour of mine, I decided to start my research from Medicare
Multispeciality Hospital and Trauma Centre, Selaqui, Dehradun. I chose this very hospital
because it was a good hospital in a remote area like Selaqui, and since it was near the place of
my residence, I would be able to devote my time and efforts more fruitfully here.

So here are the details of my visit to that place-

Experiences and Observations:

I had chosen such a time for my visit to the Hospital, when it would be less crowded. As soon
as I entered the building, the fragrant aroma of the Lime disinfectant hit me, the super clean
ambience f that place gave out serene vibes. As is often found in any good organisation, the
reception of this Hospital, too had both male and female staff members. I made them aware
of my purpose of visit and they promised to assist me in any way possible. They even
assigned me a male nurse who assisted me in knowing about the place in ore detail. They
made arrangements for me to meet two of their senior Doctors : Dr. Rashmi Gupta and Dr.
Manish Nigam.

I spent some time talking to the male nurse while taking a tour of the hospital premises. I got
to know that the hospital often faced issued with the funding from the Board of Directors.
This Hospital was funded by a trust that was opened by a Rich Localite, some 20 years back.
Other than that, the place was doing a sound business in the market.

There were 4 full time senior doctors who worked here, 6 Junior doctors and a number of
Interns, who varied from year to year. The Hospital provided employment to about 20 nurses
and an approximately equivalent number of ward boys.

Conclusion
Selaqui is a remote area where there is a lack of proper medical facilities. In maximum cases,
the patients have to be rushed to the Hospitals in town.
This particular Hospital proves to be a star in curtained doomed situations. With well
qualified doctors and medical staffs and a variety of facilities at reasonable rates, this
provides a solution to the issues of the local residents.

Selaqui and its nearby areas are a home to many academic institutions due to which harbour
millions of students. Accidents are frequently common in this region due to hilly terrain.

The patients who visit here at aptly satisfied with the services provided here. They find the
doctors amiable and of intellect.

Overall, if asked to rate the conditions and location of this Hospital, I would rate it an 8 out of
10.
