As Well as Many Different Countries

Numerous articles have been written on the various effects on abortion to the people in

the society today. There are many contradicting opinions on the subject such that “pro-life” and

the idea that there is murder invloving abortions. A child is a big responsibility and can have a

big effect on someone's life. The argument for this topic can be never ending. Some states have

already decided the fate of some of these women, but other states have felt that it should be done.

There have been countless articles written on the delicate subject.

Discussion

Throughout the past few years different parts of the world have decided to start passing

different laws. One particular law are abortion laws. These laws have been changing throughout

history, however, through the last 10 years the abortion laws have been changing dramatically.

Not only have the abortion laws affected the United States, but other countries around the world

as well. People have been affected by this it is being reflected on. This statement has been

proven through different articles of other stories and research.

House Bill 2324

So far in the United States there have been nine different states that have said yes to the

new lHouse Bill. The law has stated: “At the time the bill passed, only 27% of the state

legislators were female. The law, slated to go into effect in July 2019, would make abortion

illegal after the fetus's heartbeat can be detected, usually between five or six weeks into the

pregnancy. No exceptions for cases of rape or incest are made” (Stevens, 2017). The states that

have continued with this statement are Ohio, Missouri, Mississippi, Georgia, Utah, Kentucky,

Louisiana, Arizona, and Montana. Many more different states are trying to push this law to

become “pro-life”. Pro-life means to oppose the aborition process and to keep the child.

Two-sided

This topic can be argued back and forth between pro-life and pro-choice. Throughout the

research we have conducted how the United States was affected. Also reported, was two stories

from two different countries Spain and Nicaragua. The difference of how families were affected

and the health of the women carrying the child and finally how the country itself is affected. The

quarrels between the two-sides have been going on for a while in today’s society.

United States being affected. First, in the different states that have approved the new

law have been faced with difficult problems. In an article, “A New Approach to Abortion

Informed Consent Laws: How An Evidence Law Framework Can Clarify Casey’s Truthful, Non-

Misleading Standard, It states, (Lete, 2019). Family planning decisions, whether to begin a

family or maintain the current size, not only impact the remainder of one’s physical, emotional,

economic, and social life, but also the lives of her family and of those in her community.

Abortion can effect one’s emotional life epecially. If they do not have the abortion they are going

to think as though they are stuck in a trap and cant get out of it, without any help. The effect can

also happen on the child's mind as it continues to grow, and realizes that they were unwanted.

The idea of abortion may not be understood but, “To be clear, the substantial implication of

terminating a pregnancy does warrant the need to ensure abortion decisions are carefully made

and as informed as possible” (Lete, 2019). The difficult part about the transition of this law is

that the woman feel that their rights are being taken away from them and are forced to begin a

journey at which they do not want to take. Not just in the United States this has been appearing

either, but in different parts of the world.

Spain being affected. One out of the two countries being discussed is Spain and has the

best explanations of how the new law is affecting family’s lives and the country. Through

Spain’s article, “Is There A Need For A New Abrotion Law in Spain?” A brief history on the

subject is “In 2010, under Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero of the Socialist Party

(PSOE), Spain adopted legislation allowing abortion on demand during the first trimester. The

president of Spain’s Popular Party (PP), Pablo Casado, has come out in support of taking the

country back to 1985 abortion legislation that only allowed pregnancy terminations in very

limited cases”(Calaf, 2019). Spain’s population has been decreasing and the Popular Party’s

needed to change that. Now their laws were a bit different, however, they were still consulting

with the rights of the free women and the choice, they were consistently going back and forth on

the subject. However, they go “pro-life” as said in the article. The country wants to continue on

the mass production of children to increase their population size.. The idea of the law is well

presented and could fix some of the problems. This law also allows for families to become more

careful with their decisions on their future, but also wants to encourage them to produce a child

for the sake of their country.

Nicaragua being affected. Now, a particular incident had happened in this country and

is all said in the article “Woman dies after doctors fail to intervene because of new abortion law

in Nicaragua.” What had happened was “A woman with heart problems in her 15th week of

pregnancy was still waiting for a possible abortion at a hospital in the town of Masaya while

doctors deliberated over the legality of treatment. Deputies from the three main parties supported

the law in a vote just 10 days before presidential elections in which the country's former Marxist

guerrilla leader, Daniel Ortega, was elected 16 years after his Sandinista government was voted

out of power”(Arie, 2016). The different parties had ended this poor, young woman's life

because all they cared about was the life of a child that would never remember what had

happened. Instead of the person breathing and living their life. Countries have followed the

United States laws almost word for word. If a woman decides to have an abortion they will be

charged with murder and sent to jail, for killing the child. However, if medically that women

could not have the child for medical reasons that is the only exception of the women not having

the child. However, for the women they decided that she was fine in having the child but then

suffered many complications with the pregnancy which ended a young life.

Conclusions and Future Research

In order to gain a complete understanding on this delicate matter, it is necessary to

conduct more research on the topic to examine all possible sides. This includes true, real-life

stories of women and families affected, and further studies and research on how the percentage

of deaths in the United States and countries. With this research the public can make a firm and

final conclusion on how the decision of the changed abortion laws is what the countries need in

this time spam of life. As more research and stories come in, the argument between the two sides

on the subject could become one opinion which is a hope for the community or can remain a

two-sided argument.
