Standard operating procedure of Safety & disciplinary program (VBL-QP-03) is

revised to ensure the safe work environment against deadly Coronavirus or
COVID-19.

OBJECTIVE:

The objective of the VBL Health & Safety measure policy is to ensure health and safety of VBL
employees, its clients, subcontractors and general public interested with VBL. The purpose is to
inculcate healthy work habits by implementing a formal safety measure awareness program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Unit - HR Manager is responsible to initiate the awareness for the employee and ensure healthy & safe
work environment. Employee’s wellbeing and protection from the virus (COVID-19).

BACK GROUND:

Coronavirus outbreak in China – Dec-2019 from Wuhan, which has spread all over globe and also it has
spread to India, Karnataka-bangalore.

VBL Innovations Pvt Limited is setting in place measures to ensure the health & safety of all its
employees. To ensure the employees are protected from COVID-19 virus attack, necessary preventive
measures have been taken from management as listed below:

1. Awareness programmes to all the employees with all the symptoms & prevention of
Coronavirus every day through PA system announcement & Prayer meeting.
2. Monitoring every one’s body temperature through Scan Forehead Thermometer, including
visitors.
a. All employees & Visitor’s body temperature will be checked every day, In case any employee
temperature is found above 98.6 F, then the person will be sent to unit HR for analysis,
reason for high temperature to be analyzed by unit HR.
b. In case any of the visitor is found with high temperature, then he/she will be sent to HR for
analysis with mask.
c. Any employee is found sick with general symptoms of Cold, Cough, Sneeze, headache, fever,
breathing issues, viral fever, etc. will be granted leave and sent for diagnosis.
 d. Any employee or his/her family member is found or observed infected with symptoms of
virus, then he/she will be quarantine for 15 days at home under observation with diagnosis.
e. In case any person after diagnosis found positive with corona virus infection, he/she will be
sent for authorized hospital for treatment.
f. In case anyone of the VBL employee is found positive with corona virus infection, then
he/she will be permitted 28 days ESIC leave for those employees to whom ESIC act is
applicable & those employees who are exempted from ESIC act will be granted 28 days
unpaid leaves as mentioned in Karnataka Govt. vide notification No. KAE 170 sweemar 2018
(Ba-5) dated – 5th March 2020, by Sandhya L Nayak (Dy. Secretary – Labour Dept.)

CORONA VIRUS SYMPTOMS:

1. Running Nose

2. Headache

3. Cough

4. Breathing Issues

5. Heart related issues

6. Knee pain

7. Fever

8. Totally sick

CORONA VIRUS PREVENTIVE MEASURES:

There is no cure for the coronavirus that is now haunting humans. But it can reduce the risk by
preventing it from spreading.
1. Wash your hands with soap/soap oil/Dettol liquid soap and water for 20 seconds.
2. Do not touch face, nose or mouth without washing your hands.
3. Do not shake hands or hug anyone.
4. Don't get in close contact with sick people.
5. Clean the space frequently.
6. If the cough and sneeze comes, hold the tissue cross.
7. After cough or sneeze, wash your hands with alcoholic sanitizer/soap oil.
8. Stay away from crowded areas, avoid gatherings.
9. Stay at home if you are sick.
10. Consult the Doctor in case you are unwell/sick.
