STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

I strongly believe in the process of continuous learning and have learned and improved on
various aspects of my academic and professional career. My motivation to apply for MSc in
Accounting and Finance comes from my exemplary academic performance in my bachelors
– Bachelors of Commerce (Hons) and my professional background. The world of
Accountancy and Finance is constantly changing. During my research to find a suitable
university, I found that the course structure for MSc Accounting and Finance abroad in the
UK is engaging and focuses on the exploration of key practical, theoretical and empirical
issues. Your institution is one of the top economics schools in the country, in one of the
financial capitals of the world, which will not only enhance my career prospects and
employability but will also instill the professional skills needed to sustain the ever-changing
industry.

Pursuing MSc in Accounting and Finance aligns perfectly with my goals. While my father,
who worked in Tech Mahindra helped me build my acumen and presentation skills, my
mother, a homemaker, imparted me with the spirit and operational tactfulness. I also
admire her for her patience and the life lessons she has taught me. My academic
background in Accountancy and Finance, my ACCA qualifications and my experience with
Financial Management, Audit Services, Performance Management has made me realise the
importance of managing Finance and Accounts in any businesses.

Having been a result-oriented and energetic personality, I have been on a continuous

journey of learning to ensure my personal and professional development. I have
participated in various singing, and dancing competitions and cultural programmes. I am
very passionate about learning and trying new things and constantly improving myself. I
believe that my personality is well equipped to handle stress and work under extreme
pressure. I also have exemplary presentation and communication skills because of
participating in various competitions and interacting with students from every part of the
country.

At your university, I wish to take part in various seminars and presentations which will not
only give me hands-on experience in trading and portfolio analysis but also make me
familiar with the complexity of policies and practices. I see great potential in my future
through this course. I am determined to deepen my passion and let others benefit from it. I
want to make the most of my time at your institution by communicating with people from
various backgrounds and learning about their life and by leading with impact. I am confident
that my education at the UK university would help me build a professional network, further
my business skills and hence provide me a platform to accelerate my career to help me
achieve these long-term life goals.
