NetVanta 3000 and 4000 Series routers offer various backup schemes a floating static route becomes active, automatically re-routing traffic
to protect mission-critical applications. This application illustrates over the ADSL circuit. The PPP dial backup shown here uses an ISDN
backup over ADSL and ISDN networks. ADSL backup is accomplished by BRI connection. The ISDN backup scheme is implemented by adding the
