Inhalation:
No toxic vapours when working in a well ventilated area with access to fresh air.

Skin contact:
Wash area with soap and warm water. Apply moisturiser only on sensitive skin.

Eye contact:
Immediately irrigate with continuous stream of water. If irritation persists seek medical advice.

Ingestion:
Do not induce vomiting. Wash mouth and lips with copious amounts of water and give plenty
of water to drink. Seek medical advice.

5: FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

Suitable Extinguishing Media:


Non-combustible. If material is involved in a fire use water spray, normal foam or a dry agent
such as carbon dioxide or dry chemical powder.

Hazards from combustion products:


Non combustible. Residual material can burn following the evaporation of the water from the
material.

Special protective cautions and equipment for fire fighters:


Fire fighters to wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing if at risk of
exposure to vapour or products of combustion.

6: ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Emergency procedures:
If contamination of sewers or waterways occurs, advise local authorities.

Methods and materials for containment and clean up:


Use absorbent material e.g. sand or vermiculite. Collect in containers for appropriate waste
disposal. Remove balance by wiping with cotton rags. Do not permit run-off to sewer, storm
water or open bodies of water.

Precautions for safe handling:


Keep out of reach of children. Wear protective clothing to prevent skin contact and safety
goggles where splashing is likely.

Conditions for safe storage:


Store in cool dry place. Prevent from freezing. Packaging should identify as water based
paints. Transport as fragile merchandise to prevent spillage.

that may occur if the product is mishandled are:

Inhalation:
If this product is used in a poorly ventilated area or a confined space, vapour may cause
irritation to respiratory tract mucous membranes, nausea or headache.

Skin Contact:
Contact with skin may cause irritation to people with sensitive skin.

Eye Contact:
May be an eye irritant.

Ingestion:
No adverse effects expected, however may cause nausea and vomiting if ingested in large
amounts.

Disposal Methods:
For small quantities: Unwanted product should be painted out onto newspaper, allowed to
dry, then disposed of in household rubbish collection. Empty containers should be left open in
a well ventilated area to dry out, then disposed of through an approved recycling scheme, or
seek advice from your local council about other accepted disposal methods. For large
quantities: dispose of material through a licensed waste contractor.
