My Favorite Food is Chicken Geprek

My favorite food is Chicken Geprek sprinkled with spicy and savory chili sauce that
makes my appetite delicious and wants to add more food. When at home my mother and I often
make geprek chicken that tastes so delicious and extraordinary, Chicken geprek is a meal that I
often make, even a routine menu every week must be there and never be missed. Likewise when
I move to Bandung I always run down every week to buy geprek chicken because it has become
my favorite food since long ago, usually I like to make it myself but because at the boarding
house I have no kitchen so I finally buy food but when I return to my hometown directly make
their own geprek chicken. then how do I make it here I will explain the ingredients and steps to
make delicious geprek Chicken.

Here's how to make Geprek Chicken:

Material:

- 1 kg of chicken, cut into pieces


- 1 whole egg
- 500 grams of chakra flour (dry dough)
- 250 grams of triangular flour (wet dough / dipping)
- 5 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 6 cloves of finely chopped garlic
- to taste lime
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of mushroom seasoning
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
- enough ice water
Chili Sauce ingredients:
- 20 cayenne peppers
- 10 red chilies
- 2 cloves of garlic
- to taste vegetable oil
- to taste salt, sugar, flavoring
How to cook:
- Give pieces of chicken with lime and salt.
- Marinate the chicken with half the finely chopped garlic, add a little ground pepper, oyster
sauce, salt, sugar and mushroom flavoring. Then keep it overnight in the refrigerator so that the
spices seep and the chicken is tender.
- Dyeing material: egg flour and ice water shake until the mixture is thick and not runny, add a
little salt and stir until smooth.
- Dry ingredients: chakra flour, cornstarch, chopped garlic, ground pepper, baking piwder, salt
and mushroom seasoning until evenly mixed.
- Prepare the chicken that has been seasoned and stored in the refrigerator then dip it in a dry
mixture until the entire surface of the chicken is covered with dry ingredients.
- After evenly dipping all into a wet mixture until smooth, then dip it again in a dry mixture, then
fry in hot oil until the chicken is submerged.
- Fried on low heat for 15 minutes until golden brown and the noise disappears. Lift and set aside
- To make a chili match, refine all the chili ingredients not too soft, set aside.
- Heat the used oil to fry the chicken until it's really hot
- After pouring hot oil over the chile sauce that has been smoothed earlier while continuing to
stir well
- Prepare the chicken on a plate, press the chicken using a wood pestle until it crumbs then flush
the match on top
- Fried crispy geprek chicken is ready to be served
